React Three Fiber v9.6.0 is out (•‿•)✧

ShaderMaterial uniforms just got a major DX upgrade:
No more desync when passing objects like { time: { value: time } }.
Uniforms now keep a stable reference and copy values internally fixing HMR and enabling new reactive patterns with GLSL materials.

Too many @GoogleChrome tabs open? Try vertical tabs, rolling out now.
Just right-click any Chrome window and select “Show Tabs Vertically” to move your tabs to the side of the browser window, making it easier to read page titles and manage tab groups.

Excited to announce a new open-source, free-to-use memory tool I have been developing with my good friend @MillaJovovich.
The project is called MemPalace and it is an agentic memory tool that scored 100% on LongMemEval - the industry standard benchmark for memory… this is higher on than any other published results - free or paid - and it is available now on GitHub.
You can check out Milla’s video about it on her Instagram.
I’ll also put some links in the comments below - please try it out, critique it, fork it, contribute to it - and join our discord.

🚨⚡️ A bizarre incident at the German Championship:
Norwegian chess champion Magnus Carlsen, with a wide smile, agreed to take a "selfie" with Kazakhstani player Alua Norman's phone before the second round.
But the surprise? As soon as the photo was done, Carlsen rushed to file a complaint with the arbiter!
The arbiter confiscated the player's phone in accordance with the regulations.. 🤡🇳🇴

@JayGenXer The real question is how to:
- like this 1000 times?
- make all GenZ listen to it every morning...

@TheGameVerse They didn't spare the particles systems did they?

@MythicMgames Storytelling itself is to blame here, when we went from killing Gnolls to riding light-powered-spacecrafts into other planets (what!?), and traveling back in time it was evident that more and more absurd stories would be told
English

@MichaelLoda Maybe the'll spare us and on retail Chromie will do an Uber time spell and return everyone to the past (classic crossover) and merge the two, which will give them the ability to alter the path of history...

They’re talking about “approachability” and “bringing it to as many people as possible” because it’s constantly losing players. They’re focusing on the symptoms instead of the root problem. This “IP” has been run into the ground. Warcraft’s identity (its strongest point) was eroded.
Go watch the WoD trailer, the Wrath trailer, TBC, Vanilla, Warcraft 3… Even something like Skyrim. What do you feel? That’s what inspired millions to play these games. Look at all the Warcraft fanart over the last 20 years. Those Disneyfied animation haven’t inspired anyone. It doesn’t resonate with anybody.
Why are they so ignorant and can’t realise this? This is a fantasy game, and you’re not selling us the fantasy that we want to engage in and pay for. And yes, it's not always been perfect, but it's got much worse.
And now you get this interview, and everyone dislikes it. They apparently dislike the very thing they work on.
Even Chris Metzen himself who was this big promise for this new “saga”, which is absolutely failing. Where even is he now?
I started playing in 2014 – too late to experience its greatness, just in time to witness the downfall. At this point it’s probably beyond fixing, too late.

I haven’t seen one positive reaction to this interview. Not one. Don’t torch the Warcraft you have chasing a version that only exists as a 20 year plan to capture “as many people as possible”. That’s how you lose it all.

@everymovieplug Just read World war hulk. Worldbreaker Hulk is on another power level. This was a disgrace to hulk and was mostly hit with story-fist
English

Hulk lost so badly to Thanos because raw rage finally met controlled power.
Thanos wasn’t stronger, he was smarter, more skilled, and mentally unshakable; while Hulk relies on brute force and intimidation, Thanos fights with discipline, technique, and experience from countless wars, reading Hulk’s attacks, countering them effortlessly, and breaking his confidence early,
Once Hulk realized he couldn’t overpower or scare his opponent, the fight was already over proof that controlled strength will always dominate uncontrolled strength.

@Hesamation Well maybe now people will start writing documentation, so we don't need to trust goldev999 for answers at 2 am

this is a catastrophe. StackOverflow provided data to LLMs, LLMs replaced StackOverflow, and now no new Q&A hub exists to provide fresh data. it’s a self-undermining causal loop, like mold growing on food, consuming it, and dying once the food is gone.
Pedro Domingos@pmddomingos
RIP Stack Overflow.

@TheTrueSealYT Perhaps everything doesn't need to be multiplayer. Perhaps if they switched the networking team with, story writing team , the game would have remained with the players that paid, and they could actually have a good time.

Man, I hate EA... This is why always online games are anti-consumer. Gamers should be able to play what they bought whenever they want.
People spent years of their lives developing Anthem (not to mention the massive toll the project took on Bioware) and players spent money on it.
Anthem wasn't perfect by any means, tho it had a few redeeming features like great visuals, the flying mechanic, and that incredible Sarah Schachner score. But it makes me worry about how many other games could just disappear like this...
KAMI@Okami13_
Anthem is going offline in just 9 days. Since there's no offline mode, the game will be completely unplayable after January 12th.
