After the announcement of the International Olympic Committee’s new gender testing guidelines, which will prevent trans athletes from competing at an Olympic level, more than 100 human rights, sports, and scientific groups have denounced the decision. Professor Paula Gerber, an international human rights lawyer at Monash University, called the move “blunt and discriminatory.” Athletes who are intersex or have differences of sex development, including cisgender woman, are also expected to be affected by the new guidelines.

The art group I recently joined is full of TERFs. They’re thrilled about the IOC’s decision to ban all males from the women’s category and to sex test all women athletes who qualify for the Olympics. I’ve been very careful not to mention any of my views on sex and gender because I really didn’t want to have to leave or get kicked out, but bloomin heck it turns out they’re more sick of it all than I am! It’s been a breath of fresh air. The world is healing.

I consider that the lack of "alignment" to be in the mind and thus a mental illness, same as schizophrenia or anorexia. More important, the law in the UK is that women refers to biological woman only.
