@capstellium Try to avoid buying any super large chicken breast, I got some at fresh market that were horrible.
English

@capstellium Bad news is the chicken was actually very sick but our government allows for them to be sold in that condition. Check out Woody Breast Syndrome, the bird’s muscles (meat) grew too fast for its bones & body to support resulting in a more ‘chickeny’ flavor and weird texture.

@klepka07 Yes, I’m an older gen z (26) my mom kicked me out when I was 18. That or I had to pay rent..She shows no interest or desire for grandchildren. A lot of gen x are more selfish than the boomers. Enthralled by the Roman circus & themselves. Most of them are divorced.

@unless_you_do Hi from South Carolina!!! So happy to see Russians on my feed! Have a great day 🙂🫶🏻❄️

@Zhitnipalzhi I’m commenting on every Russian’s post I see. I am SO HAPPY to see Russian posts!!! I want to know so much about you! Greetings from South Carolina!

@ChangS69585 She’s correct though. Japanese cultural festivals have been appropriated by the western left. They use it to dress up like children and get attention they never received in high school. It has nothing to do with Japanese culture.

@zundamotisuki I’m a white girl raised in the Deep South. This is a daily occurrence, if we say anything we get stabbed, then they get let back into society due to ‘insanity.’ I wish I was making this up.
English

@TheLaurenChen Unfortunately, Japanese anime ‘cutsie’ culture has been completely taken over/appropriated by mostly feminists. It’s a ton of blue hairs, trans, women that want to be noticed dressing like a little girl. It truly has nothing to do with actual Japanese culture.

Today was the Cherry Blossom Festival here in Nashville, which is an annual event that celebrates Japanese culture 🇯🇵🌸
After spending 3 months in Tokyo last year, I was curious to see what a Japanese-inspired event would look like in America.
The first thing that I noticed, however, was that other attendees were disproportionately overweight white women. And among the people dressed up for the event, they were almost exclusively obese white women with colorful hair.
This struck me as strange, because this is not what the average person in Nashville looks like. Despite being in the south, Nashville is a relatively lean city. I definitely think that the Cherry Blossom Festival itself was attracting a specific type of crowd.
And I find that so curious, because these overweight, unkempt women were clearly fans of Japanese culture and esthetics, but they simultaneously couldn't have been further from embodying Japanese beauty.
Japanese women tend to be lean, feminine, well-groomed, reserved, and modest. The women at the Festival were basically the complete opposite of that. It seemed like they thought they could just put on a costume and emulate Japanese culture, but what they failed to realize is that Japanese culture is considered so beautiful and desirable because it's disciplined. It's precise. It's intentional.
From the looks of it, these are not values that any of these women hold dear. The image of a tattooed, 300 pound woman, with unbrushed hair, spilling out of an anime cosplay outfit is... jarring, to say the least, because it goes against so much of what makes Japanese culture Japanese.
It seemed like they believed Japanese culture was beautiful, but didn't understand that that beauty took work and a certain character to achieve. Work they weren't willing to do, and a character they weren't interested in aspiring to.
And the fact that this type of woman is so interested in Japan is also strange to me, considering that Japan possesses a lot of the same qualities that these women likely complain about when it comes to America.
Japan is an ethnonationalist country with strict immigration. They are tough on crime. They are socially conservative. They value social cohesion and personal responsibility.
These qualities are all strengths when it comes to Japan, but these women, once more, all but certainly oppose such practices in America, failing to understand that Japanese success isn't an accident. It's specifically thanks to these policies.
In any case, I don't share these thoughts to body shame anyone, but rather to note how, despite their apparent interest in Japanese culture, western liberals are essentially its polar opposite. Esthetically, politically, and socially.

@takazinnEX777 They had bouncy castles, a live band, a huge rental tent, it was so awesome. I played with my friends all day going to different peoples yards around the cul-de-sac. There was probably 700-800 people there every year. I miss the early 2000s whimsy.
English

@takazinnEX777 There was a house in my neighborhood when I was younger that would throw a HUGE chili cook-off party every year. They would invite the whole neighborhood to invite people & charged $5 entry to pay for the whole set up. Tons of people would enter with their chili & they had judges

My fellow Americans, I'm disappointed in you. You have neglected to share with our Japanese friends a most patriotic tradition, that is up there with shooting guns, fireworks, the BBQ, and so on. We must show them.... The Chili Cook-off

@MattDane552022 @pepsivrcoke3 @derek_gregory @GregorioSh64773 You don’t know about hourly dashing? In smaller cities they force you to switch to unlimited orders for ($12/h), last time I checked it was 6pm-5am, you cannot refuse an order or they will end your session. So yes, you would benefit from riding the clock as she appeared to be.
English

@pepsivrcoke3 @derek_gregory @GregorioSh64773 No Dasher is spoofing location. Way too much effort for essentially no reward.
English

@hightek_rednek @derek_gregory @GregorioSh64773 No it doesn’t if you’re hourly dashing. In my city they force to you hourly dash (take unlimited orders) for $12 an hour after 6pm. She’s riding the clock.
English

@derek_gregory @GregorioSh64773 agreed. You'd need to spoof your location, and while it can be done... why would you as a driver. Its a volume business, you dont make money by faking long wait times, that just hurts you.
English

@dantypo Really sad to see mostly replies of ‘cuck’ when you’re exposing a very real thing. The pink tax exists and is very expensive over a lifetime. Some items can be debated but pads, tampons, and makeup for work are a necessity that no man on earth has to paying for.
English

I took my daughters shopping for toiletries last night.
Now, when I go and buy that stuff, for like shaving cream, a razor pack, shampoo, soap… maybe like $17?
We get to the counter and we play a game we always do which, “what’s the total gonna be?”
I say, “$80” figuring they threw in a few impulse items.
They say, “$215”
I’m like, “excuse me, what?”
The total was $245!👀
Women— what is you doin’!?
Now, I had no idea shampoo and conditioner and body wash packages were nearing $90!
So I ask, “is this what your mom buys you?”
They’re like, “lol no she’d never”
Anyway, they’re lucky I love them.

@mooressherrone I’m in my 20’s and was taking all of these up until last year. I feel like men have NO idea what happens in pediatricians offices to young teenage girls. I was put on all of these at 14 by my mother and doctor. Was told all were normal and would help me with mood problems.
English

Was seeing a girl earlier this year who was a bs major (no work) and rich parents.
She was taking lexapro, atavan, vyvanse, and birth control, as well as seeing a therapist.
How does it get to that point?
Dusty’s May@mooressherrone
The female prescription epidemic isn’t talked about enough. 80% of these girls take a drug cocktail every morning to get through the day.
English

@Rimmy_Downunder We call them ‘the booms’ happens here every other Tuesday at or right around 11:00am. They shake the whole house and have been getting stronger. It’s been going on for at least a year. Feels like they come from the SE a little outside the city. SC.
English

@TeresaEdelglass @robbystarbuck @goodwill I frequent multiple goodwills in my area often & yes they do this 100%. Large donation stores are with price than the small ones, mine doesn’t even run color day sales & they price sets of items that were donated together individually (plates, glassware)
English

@robbystarbuck @goodwill This is a bit unfair…everything can’t be compared item for item. More info is needed here.
English

When my Mom needed to save $, we used to go to Goodwill when I was a kid. After finding success, I’ve always donated things to @Goodwill because of that. I stopped after finding out that they’re now charging prices as if items are new.
Very sad to see!
