Stop aiming for happiness. The ancient Greeks had a concept called Eudaimonia. They knew happiness was fleeting. Instead, they aimed for deep-seated joy. Eudaimonia comes from: • Living virtuously (courage, temperance, wisdom, and justice) • Being rational • Pursuing a purpose (telos) • Embracing balance • Seeking wisdom These things won’t necessarily make you happy in the moment. But shape your life around them and you’ll feel calm and content. Isn’t that the point?

@runawayrene It's a joke to think South Africa has ánything to offer Russia. Please! Russia manufactures its own weapons industry producing stuff that's superior to most countries including the US and perhaps excluding China. Be serious.

Remember Russian cargo ship, Lady R, that docked at Simon's Town few months ago? The US is accusing SA of using the vessel to provide weapons to Russia for its invasion of Ukraine. US ambassador to SA Brigety said matter taken seriously by US. Ramaphosa said he's looking into it.

@Phiri13Williams @philcraig2 It's not an issue of "can't manufacture", but "can't manufacture fast enough." They are using it faster than they can make it. Quite possibly we gave them some of our stocks of 155mm artillery shells and propellant. We have no use for it, and it expires after a while.

@richardquest The entire country should be put under international administration. The demographics prevent any constitutionally legal resolution to the catastrophe we face. The deliberate and criminal destruction of an entire country is a human rights abomination.

The ideal operating domain for terrorist organisation is marginally failed states. The rule of law is weak, and there is an abundance of criminal organisations to whom the terrorist organisations can outsource their work.
