Heard your podcast with Will Laurenson, what you said about segmented communities (not everyone has a mullet these days) is 100% true. I'm working with a SaaS building a "community relationship engine", would love to chat and get your take. This has nothing to do with your original post, but worth a shot :)

Why do some calendar invites default to "free" instead of "busy?" The amount of times I double book because some events randomly are "free" drives me insane.

Just took @magnetiq_xyz for a spin. UGC, polls, gated content & a storefront all-in-one place. If you run an ecomm brand and care about community, check them out. 🧲

@ecom1ash @vivaangandhi_ 99% of bros posting rev screenshots are fake. Keep your head focused on what you're doing and take it one day at a time. Nice job.

@bartosloboda1 Battle royale editing group 😂 We employ PH geniuses doing a whole bunch of things. Screening and training can take time but it’s well worth it in the end.

I HIRED MY FIRST EDITOR EVER 🙏 He’s obviously from Philippines and I honestly didn’t know creating good SOP’s and training them would be that hard… Paying them per week so they are more motivated to be better PRO TIP: Hire 2 editors at once and put them in 1 groupchat on WhatsApp and when one of them does a good job praise him, so he’ll be a „competitor” to the another and the second one will be more likely to catch up Just a shower thought 🏄‍♂️

@RyeMcKenzie And you educate by telling a story. Yes? No? Did I get it right???

Unless you educate the market first, retail will fail every time. Your laundry detergent choice was made by your mother, who got it from her mother. People don't walk down that aisle reading ingredient labels. They grab whatever's on sale or what they always buy.

As a CPG founder, you’re going to drown in new domains of work (Landing pages, product pages, email flows, SMS marketing, meta ads, founder videos, and the list never ends). And most of us get stuck at the same point: • Where the hell do I even start? • Which thing do I work on first? • How do I know if it’s good enough? What I’ve found is the only way to cut through that fog is to pick a benchmark. Find a brand you respect, or a founder you like following, and use their work as your starting line. Look at their designs, their messaging, their flows, their ads. Then adapt it to your brand, your voice, your product. Run it. Test it. See what happens. Because at the start, you don’t need to invent from scratch, you just need to make a move on the board. Once you have that, you’ll get data. And the data tells you where to place the next piece. It’s like chess, you don’t win with one perfect move, you win by playing the game long enough to see the right sequence unfold. Copy, adapt, test, learn. That’s the loop that actually moves you forward. What’s one brand you’ve used as your benchmark for inspiration when you were starting?

@sebastianvolkis Depends on your budget and what kind of agency. Design agencies take a retainer. Media buying agencies usually take a % above the spend. Some are good, some are shite. 😁💩

Is there any kind of barter system we can do on the DTC community? Where we can all help each other out with our brands?

CPG founders starting out, forget about scaling and $1000/day ad spend and focus on building and learning your evergreen infrastructure. - Shopify navigation and mechanics, reports, and dashboards. - Amazon seller account setup. - Social media handles, accounts, credentials, and integrations. - Meta ad account setup and structure. - Email and SMS marketing flows. - Orders pick and pack process (shippers, label printers...etc) - Expense trackers to capture every expense, should be properly and overly tagged (where, when, price, any notes you have) Only then can you improve and scale every piece

Info guys I’m asking for a hand. I’d say I have the backend system handled and by this I mean Funnels Sales teams Workflows/automations Paid media. Here’s what I lack. Being able to write/record VSLs Being able to create content around my business and what I have to offer. Being able to create content for ads and organic. I’ve got everything except for the creative part. I feel like I just suck at it since I’m so proficient on the backend of things. If I nailed creatives I can literally scale to multiple millions a month on my low-> high ticket and my agency.

@sufianszn It's 2014 and I work for a pseudo-financial scam company. I'm very good at my job and open up my own affiliate network running BH FB. Massive campaigns, thousands of new clients per month. Dirty money. Got out of it in 2018 - You only have one soul brother.
