What do I want for my own children when they've reached the end of their K-12 experience? I want them to be self-aware, empathetic, community-minded individuals. And that is what I want for all my other kids (students), too. Our content is simply a context. Our work is kids.

Student Empowerment Through Innovation Ambassadors presented to #NYSMasterTeachers how an innovation program encouraged them to step outside their comfort zones to excel in HS & beyond. They facilitated a design challenge: T's had to improve a teaching task they don't care for.

Student Empowerment Through Innovation teachers started curriculum design by writing their teacher identity statement (The Cardboard Classroom @JennBinis & @TheWeirdTeacher) We used @AngelaStockman's Make Writing & layered storyboarding to build our statements #designthinking
