Built a Polymarket BTC 5m fade bot. Been running it live for 2 weeks. All time PnL unfiltered: -$28 After one simple optimization: +$578 No strategy change, no new signals. Just data. 🧵 The inv bot fades late stage momentum on 5m BTC markets. Bets DOWN when the crowd goes UP. Bets UP when the crowd goes DOWN. Win rate is low (~25-30%) but wins pay 3-5x losses. Its a classic asymmetric setup. I pulled all trades from SQLite and analyzed PnL by hour (UTC). Hours 06-07 UTC alone: +$231 Hours 19-21 UTC: -$222 Same strategy. Same signals. Completely different outcomes depending on WHEN you trade. The pattern makes sense in hindsight. 06-07 UTC is dead zone between Asia close and Europe open. Low liquidity, odds drift more, fade strategy thrives. US market hours = efficient pricing, fast resolution, fade gets wrecked. Backtested across all 15 days in the DB: 10/15 days profitable with filter vs 8/15 without Worst day goes from -$165 → -$49 Best day stays +$171 Risk-adjusted returns completely different. Next step is to scale trade size and keep trading Will keep cooking with @Polymarket

2025: prompt engineering era. 2026: harness engineering era. baca handbook AI Engineering Insider, 195 halaman, breakdown lengkap stack di balik production agent. key reframe-nya adalah agent = model + harness. karena model bisa ganti tiap 6 bulan, tapi harness tetep konsisten. yang penting long-term = harness, bukan prompt. 7 layer-nya adalah = instruction, tools/MCP, memory, execution sandbox, policy + approval, observability, eval. dev yang masih obses ke “prompt sempurna” = lagi main di layer yang salah, karena layer 1 udah komoditas. dan yang ngebedain agent toy vs production agent adalah layer 2–7, itu yang ga bisa di-AI-kan. shift-nya kerasa banget, recommended.

temen kuliah gua kerja di agency video dan design di salah satu kota di jawa timur. gua kasih tau dia jujur: kerjaan yang dia lakuin sekarang bisa "digantiin" AI. gua punya akses ke model-model frontier terbaru, GPT, Gemini, Claude dan gua lihat sendiri seberapa jauh ini udah bisa jalan. responnya? dia ngga defensif sama sekali. dia langsung nanya gimana cara bikin pipeline agent buat otomasi workflow dia sendiri. bukan nolak, tapi malah mikirin lebih jauh dari yang gua ekspektasiin. dan itu yang gua mau orang-orang di industri kreatif pahamin. bukan soal AI ngegantiin lo. tapi soal apakah lo mau jadi orang yang 70% lebih cepat dari yang lain atau engga. proses kreatif itu penting, gua tau. tapi kalau lo bisa sampai ke hasil yang sama — atau bahkan lebih bagus — dengan setengah waktu, kenapa ngga? yang bakal survive bukan yang paling takut sama AI. bukan juga yang paling asal pakai. tapi yang bisa integrate AI ke dalam cara mereka kerja dengan bener. temen gua udah mulai. lu kapan?
