The thirst for listening to the glacier music never ends. Collected diverse sound data from 1-hydrophone recorders and line arrays (ie, hydrophones on a line) at 2 contrasting glaciers in Hornsund, over different ice conditions.These tangles can get tricky, but we managed. (1/2)

ARL is at the Arctic ! Our researchers are at Hornsund fjord, Svalbard, making acoustic measurements at the glaciers. This will help in perfecting our technique to monitor how fast they are melting.

After many months of prep, I've finally arrived at Longyearbyen- the world's northernmost settlement with a population more than 1k. I'm nearly 10,000 km away from home and ~1310 km away from the North Pole. All ready to 'dive' into my glacier acoustics research! (1/2)
