This morning the MSAT program director, Dr. Ryan McCann hosted local ATs on campus for a 2-hour lab-based CE event, Cadaver Anatomy for Athletic Trainers. Thanks to all those who attended!

This week MSAT students practiced balance exercises for lower body injury rehabilitation. To increase difficulty they included unstable surfaces, unanticipated tasks, and stroboscopic glasses, which intermittently obstruct vision.

Today, our first-year MSAT students practiced care strategies for knee injuries.

We had an impromptu FaceTime call with Christina Emrich, District 2 Director for the NATA and Secondary School AT! We chatted about how ATs can navigate conversations when coaches or administrators don’t fully support catastrophic injury and PPE policies. Big thanks to Christina!

It was great to meet with Dr. Daishan Johnson and his Kinesiology students today at Hampton University to discuss athletic training and the MSAT program.
