9 Games and in 9 games I encountered 2 maphackers (100% secure with evidence) in Challenger Elo in #wildrift The number is probably a lot higher, but they are just too bad to make it suspicious These 2 maphackers have nearly a thousand games with a barely positive winrate.

Part 2 - "Ok well if you nerf the healing in half, won't the Dragon's Spirit augment just be awful. It was already hard to play" So, the wording on this augment is VERY unclear (we need to fix that) which often leads to this augment being misplayed. It's very confusing, so let me help clarify how it works. A better wording would be "Every time champions equipped with Dragon's Claws heal for 7000 health, gain a component." This healing counts ALL HEALING the wearer does, not just the healing from the Claw itself. This means any champs who have built in healing such as Elise, Lillia, Nunu, Nasus, etc are amazing users of this augment and will stack up the healing count fairly quickly. If you take this and try to put it on champs that don't like Poppy, Wukong, or Rakan, you will likely feel like it's weak. We believe this confusing is why the current stats look pretty bad, as when used properly, the augment is quite good (+6 components total for a Gold augment is very good!) So in the future, make sure your main tank can self heal before you take this augment. And I'll work with the team to get this wording cleared up. ------------------------------------------------------- Ok I hope these explanations were helpful. I know a lot of folks these days will say "Too much text balance bad", but for those who want to learn and actively engage, these posts are for you. I'm always happy to walk through and share the logic behind changes, and frankly selfishly this is the part of the job I love. Nerding out about the details of each part of the game. There's so much in TFT to nerd out about! Have a great week everyone. It's great to be back into full swing, and I'm sure I'll have more to share with you! Until then, take it easy :)

Patch Rundown came out yesterday, and it's clear people are hungry for the patch. It goes live Wednesday, so look forward to that. I know I'm going to be cranking out some ranked games. Reading all the feedback and responses so far, one of the things that seemed to confuse people the most was the Dragon's Claw nerf. Many thought we were simply nerfing the item because it was strong in a Syndra/Karma meta. Wanted to clear up that that isn't the case, and exactly why we made the change. First, it was correctly pointed out to me that if you compare these two items, it's probably not ok that they are so similar. They have the exact same healing, DClaw was 40 more MR, and Anima has more flat HP. (A Wukong3 for example will have 292 bonus HP from DClaw). So the trade off is some health for some MR and that's it? So our first instinct is "Well if Anima is close in power to a base craftable item, let's buff it!" Unfortunately the item is and historically has been a well balanced good artifact, sitting near the top of the stack in power while also being extremely useful in almost any comp. Also we like the identity of Anima Visage being the "High HP Tank health regen" item, so there wasn't much to do there. Now that means we need to move DClaw away from Anima visage's identity. DClaw is the premier MR item which is great, and that's it's identity. So MR isn't going to change. That leaves the HP or the health regen. Well as we discussed, if Anima's identity is HP regen, then that likely needs to be removed from DClaw. So the simplest change is likely to cut that, put a little more bonus HP on the item, and call it a day. HOWEVER, this is why we need to remember historically why the HP regen was put there in the first place. In the past, DClaw was an item that if you had in the early game, where most AP damage is still ramping up and mostly doing physical damage, the item was bad. DClaw has always been great Stage 4+, and AWFUL on Stage 2, which led to cloaks often being the "worst component". So just cutting it will just put it back to that. Loc Lock had already passed, so for now, this nerf felt light enough that DClaw still retains its core identity (primary MR item for late game) without gutting its early game too hard. In the future, we will likely remove that passive for a different early game focused passive (could look similar to Bramble's) that doesn't stomp on Anima's identity. Now for part 2...

It's our first patch for Magic n' Mayhem, and we're doing a large balance pass to ensure all magical comps (and mayhem) can prosper. Wondering just how and who we’re buffing—check out the notes: 📝 riot.com/4fLwf0Q

Okay Set 10 is 100% the most RNG Based Set in the History of TFT Here's Why #1. Upgrade Inconsistency : Getting 1,2,3,4,5 Cost 2 Stars will be either IMPOSSIBLE or Free. This means people will find upgrades without Rolling AT all, Or will not find even if they roll 80+ Gold At each respective levels at 7,8,9 2 Stars are very important of all costs, because they bring Frontline Value to buy time for your backline to do damage. If you lack 2 Stars in total, your team will melt no matter good of a deck you build In past sets, from TFT Set 3~9. If you had a 50~60 gold lead, the odds of you being underupgraded compared to your opponents with no ECO was around 30~40% Max. Meaning it only happens maybe 3 out of 10 games. Now its 60~70%, meaning that you will be underupgraded 60~70%ish Based on your RNG. #2 Battle Power Gap between Players. and Because of Factor #1, the power gap between players is just impossible. There will be Players with 3 Cost 3 Stars(Samira Country with 3 BIS) or multiple 4 cost 2 Star carries(Akali/Karthus, Akali, Ahri, Blitzcranks, TF) At Stage 4-2. In order to beat these players we need upgrades that are equivalent, however since upgrades are not guaranteed, we have no choice but to tank damage until we do. If 4+ Players have more upgrades or a better setup by this point, then loss is guaranteed. Putting Many games in a situation where you just can't win because the power gap between players is impossible to beat. #3 Strategies and Decks are not that difficult or flex. They did increase skill expression in TFT, however the overall gameplan is not hard. You only need to know 3 main starts to win in the current patch of TFT Level 7 All in Level 8 All in Level 9 All in Level 7 is a 3 Cost 3 Star option with Jazz(Miss fortune/bard), Samira(Country), or Emos (Vex/Amumu) Level 8 All in is when you aren't rich enough to hit 9, you go for KDAs (Ahri/Akali), Pentakills (Akali,Karthus) or Discos (TF/Blitzcranks) Level 9 is when you have an econ/hp lead, and you look for Value Options, but the most preferred ones are Ziggs(with TF) or Sona(with Yorick/Dazzlers) You only need to know these starts to be at a competitive level, if you know these decks then it all comes down to who hits the most amount of upgrades with minimum gold investment. And as I said, since the battle gap between players is too HUGE due to Upgrade Difference, and since Upgrade Difference became too Consistent in Set 10 TFT just feels like a random slot machine at this point Every Skillset that I know of in TFT (Transitioning, Champion Knowledge, Item Combinations, Augment Understanding, Win Ratios of each strategy, Econ Management, Counterbuilding, Counterpositioning) feels like it barely gives me any edge. Because none of it matters if I don't have upgrades. If we compare it to League of Legends, I feel like I am 2 Core Items behind (6000 gold behind), even when I have the most kills/CSs and took every objective. Sorry for the rant, I always knew TFT was an RNG game but 60%+ is just way too high.

Good morning and Happy Monday everyone! Let's talk about what is next for Remix Rumble! First, there will not be any B-patch this week or anything. While the meta is certainly not perfect, it's relatively solid and players are still learning the set. It's better to let it sit for a bit and give everyone a chance to keep learning before making adjustments. I can see this being disappointing for the 100+ game players, but for most of our players this is the right call. That means December 6th will be Patch 13.24, the patch that the Vegas Open will be played on. Because this is an important event, we want to not drastically shift everything before hand, so the patch will be relatively small. It will adjust the obvious outliers, but much smaller than a typical first TFT patch. It's also just good practice to not radically shift everything from a decent state. Then Dec 8-10th is the Vegas Open! Going to be an awesome event with so much to look forward to. Competitions, panels, players and so much more. Hope to see you there either in person or online! Finally, since the year is wrapping up and 14.1 isn't until January 10th, we don't want to leave everything as is for that long, so after Vegas, we will do a patch. Call it 13.24B, call it 13.25, whatever, but consider it a planned patch with some of the changes that we think should happen, but are too risky right before an event. This would happen around Dec 13th or so (date note final). This will allow us to react a bit post Vegas and make sure the holiday patch doesn't go stale. That will lead us to 2024 with Patch 14.1 on January 10th, that will include the addition of new portals! Should be fun. So there ya go. Hoping to end 2023 on a high note for TFT. We're glad everyone has been having a blast with Remix Rumble, so let's keep this party going. Take it easy :)
