"I told God, I want to turn 40, a Mum" - Toke Makinwa Solomon Buchi made a video addressing this statement and the internet is on Fire - he said, "do not spiritualize your single motherhood, because it is not within God's standard for bringing a child into the world" [paraphrase mine] Toke is a single Nigerian celebrity who has gone through several stages in her life. Married Got divorced. Gone through depression And still got her life back. In a podcast, she said she told God she is turning 40 and would like to celebrate that with her child. Mind you, she is not married, meaning she was ready to become a single mother... One of the most reasonable decisions any woman growing older without seeing marriage should make without looking back as long as they can aff0rd the to handle the responsibilities. She went on to declare how faithful God has been to keep to "their agreement" and how God is never late. This in Bunchi's understanding was Toke spiritualizing her pregnancy [out of wedlock], which he believes isn't within biblical standard practice. While Solomon Buchi is right in his thinking and reactions to Toke's testimony, it's equally important for us to note that Toke's pregnancy was made possible through an IVF procedure and not through fornication as she shares it. At least, let's believe her. And who started this IVF sef? God! Are you surprised?🙄 Come with me! In the Bible, the conception of Jesus was recorded as a purely supernatural occurrence, Mary didn’t meet Joseph, yet she conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, so says the Bible. It was a divine "in-planting" of life without the natural biological process - s3x! Now, IVF (In-Vitro Fertilization) is man’s scientific attempt to bypass natural conception [s3x]. Doctors collect egg and sperm, fertilize outside the body, then place it in the womb. If you look critically [not with religious eyes], both cases share a similarity. So, we could say IVF is a “scientific shadow” of what God demonstrated supernaturally in Mary. Man is only copying what God already showed was possible; bringing life into the womb in an extraordinary way. This is the route Toke Makinwa took! To me, she is in order, except what she did can be verified to have gone against the Holy Scripture. So, it's completely wrong to lauch a cyber attack on Toke. She didn't say she engaged in any act of fornication to "fall pregnant" like in the case of Linda Ikeji. I think she spiritualized her testimony because of the many times her IVFs attempts failed and according to her, people were already mocking her. Some of do not know how many times people fail in their IVF attempts before they can achieve a successful one. It's worth the testimony. It's worth ascribing the success to God. I'm sure Solomon Buchi didn't pay attention to the details of the conversation/testimony she had/shared on that podcast before setting up his phone camera, ringlight and donning his cap to make that video. Like I said, following biblical standards, he is right but in the case of Toke Makinwa, he didn't get the details right. Toke shared a unique story and indeed, God hand was in it. I have nothing against any woman who is aging and is not married having her own child. The procedure you take is entirely your business, your m0ney and between you and God. If you can freeze your eggs, kindly go ahead. If you can afford IVF give it a shot If you can afford surrogate motherhood, try it. If you want commit sin to carry belle still left for you. But remember, when you grow older and weak, social media opinion givers, what people will say and those you are scared of their mockery won't comma take care of you, neither will their children abandon their responsibilities to come sit at your dying bed. If you like, listen to what people will say! Don't secure your future even if it's with one child. Congratulations Toke Makinwa.
