La Vuelta a España🇪🇦 Stage 1 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Philipsen ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️MPedersen, Zingle ⭐️⭐️⭐️Van Uden, Vernon, Aular ⭐️⭐️Turner, Coquard, JStewart, Marit ⭐️Mihkels, Aniolkowski, Ganna, Viviani, Biermans The opening stage of the Vuelta a España is set up perfectly for the sprinters, and the big favorite has to be Jasper Philipsen. Just as he did at the Tour de France, Philipsen has the chance to start the race in style with a stage win and the first leader’s jersey. On paper, Philipsen brings the strongest lead-out train in the race, and although he hasn’t looked quite as dominant in the sprints this year as in past seasons, he has developed into a more complete rider overall. Still, pure top-end speed may have dipped slightly, which could open the door to surprises. Among the challengers (besides the obvious one Mads Pedersen), Casper van Uden is one to watch. If he finds himself in the right position, the Dutchman is fast enough to pull off an upset, though his positioning has often been an issue. Axel Zingle is another dark horse if his Visma Lease a Bike squad can deliver him well, he has the punch to contest a flat finish. The Israel–Premier Tech duo also deserves attention. Ethan Vernon comes into the race is a powerful sprinter capable of mixing it with the best. His teammate Jake Stewart will likely serve as his lead-out man, but if given the freedom, Stewart himself has the speed to challenge for the win. Still, the balance of power leans heavily towards Philipsen. Anything other than a victory for the Belgian on stage 1 would be a surprise. Prediction: Jasper Philipsen to win, and take the first red jersey. #LaVuelta25 #Lavuelta #lavuelta2025 #lavueltaespana #JasperPhilipsen
