@GlosterBirder 4 juv Shags went upriver past Oldbury Power Station (S. Gloucs.) at about 8am, with an adult Cormorant. The Cormorant landed on the Tidal Res., but others continued. (I failed to convince my, so called, birding colleague that they were Shags !🙂Definitely 4, not 5, here.)

There were 5 Shags initially. These birds flew through early on and I passed them off as Cormorants, 1 was out of shot. #GlosBirds

Not what I expected to see on patch today! Managed to intercept this White-tailed Eagle at Aust Services heading SW. Initially seen at @slimbridge_wild this morning before departing downriver over Sharpness. Seen from Severn Beach after me too. Very exciting! @bristolbirding

Female common Darter from Oldbury power station today. Also there, an Emperor male and a Southern Hawker female. Some common blues also seen and a possible hairstreak. Purple possible??

Hornsea Mere this evening, a few of the approx 3200 Little Gulls at 9pm. Built up from 1000 at 7.30pm. Also the bright lights of the Carnival in the background!!!

OPS Oysters with 2 chicks. Also saw blackcaps, Peregrine,Kestrel and 2 red kites on the way to OPS. Saved a dunnock caught in barbed wire.

Just looking out at my South Bristol garden and saw this little beauty 🤩 is it what I think it is?

So apparently I just need to calm down as Fido ‘won’t do anything, e just likes to chase em’ 🤬 Missing the point aren’t you, you fucking numpty!! Boils my piss the disregard some people have for nature or other people!!
