@pizzapurist Its after this things go REALLY freaky. Nikki staring him during night and so on. And things escalate from here. This is when he starts looking for answers. And his doubt is confirmed by calling customer service. Once confirmed, he works with all his might to undo the effect.

@pizzapurist After restaurant scene, Bear is doubtful but not yet at a position about why Nikki is being freaky. The LAST sex scene happens just after restaurant scene (her dress is same). So I have trouble believing Bear being a rapist.

@sinobite I don’t think Nikki likes him. I think he wanted Bear to admit he likes her so that she can confront him about it and close the book to continue just being friends. So I think it’s frustration she shows here that she can’t address it

徐大使您好 @China_amb_india 虽然知道外交政策可能是更高层的统筹结果 但对于当前中印的部分外交政策，网友的异议，确实有其道理，不吐不快 从人性和国际政治基本面的角度出发，我个人的基本判断是： 给印度发再多签证也改善不了中印关系 （基于两国国际经济角色定位的重叠性决定） 我们已经牢牢占据了全球第一制造业大国的生态位，且必须长期占据 印度作为后发者，要么取而代之，要么就只能甘居人后 所以无论他们是否了解我们，基于利益冲突，并不会改善双方关系 从改善关系的角度看，弱国天然畏威而不怀德，所以提高门槛更让弱国敬畏 从战略安全角度看，我们宁可他们缺乏对我们的了解 即便我们需要争取印度的人才，也应该是最为精英的人才，而非普通游客（基于印度卢比兑人民币还将持续走弱的长期判断） 所以希望驻印度大使馆结合当下中印推特舆论，也能有自己判断，可以向上直言谏言，调整策略 治大国如烹小鲜，外交亦如是，勿以善小而不为，以上为我的一点看法

The scene where bear has sex with Nikki was really creepy for me cause it felt like Nikki was there but she wasn't truly there. It completely changed my view on him because he's knowingly taking advantage of her and honestly it's borderline SA... Which was just so disgusting and creepy to me, far more than any of the actual horror elements, and it might've instantly turned him into the villain of the movie. That scene was even worst with the cameras focusing on Nikki's emotionless face while bear has sex with her because you can see that she's not present or something else took over her body during that scene.

I'm still really bothered by the part in the movie "Obsession" where Bear tries to be funny by calling her that "nickname," knowing full well it offends her. It's clear he's not the kind of man you can have a relationship with.

@fuqnakftweets @Greg3f Its a question of errr... confidence. Actually Bear had a lot going for him. Deep connection with Nicky, a home of his own, intellectual capability that impressed Nicky (remember she called him to bring his big brain to the game night?). He lacked confidence.

Obsession was extremely popular because it fufills the female notion that every lonely mid guy is secretly a rapist monster and deserves to be miserable and alone. It would have been a nothing movie if the genders were swapped. Conversely if the rapist monster had been 6'3, extremely attractive, and a millionare, it would have also been a wild hit with women.
