@parmetheus @AntardeepanRoy @voe_main @Jayc_Kop I think he's done a good attampt at least at deflecting criticism - it worked well until January where he managed to steer all the negativity and pressure onto his group of players but unfortunately he had some must win matches and the players showed everyone that they could play
English

@AntardeepanRoy @voe_main @Jayc_Kop Not even going to argue that point - I believe thinking about it for 12 seconds does that for me - but my question is "what has Slot done well this season" and so far nobody's really attempted to answer it.
English

@parmetheus @voe_main @Jayc_Kop Because this question can't be answered. You are asking to see training improvements but many players are in and out of injury some have major injuries, it becomes hard to even put forward a consistent eleven.
English

Training improvements has never been a yardstick for coaching mid season as this is not a visible data to work with. If you are capitalizing on this then you are nitpicking towards a conclusion.
Tactical setups are geared towards reducing goals conceded and improving chances of scoring goals with opportunities in front of opp 18 yard box. The quality of the personnel in front determines how many goals scored (example kdb to haaland was a tactical approach that its success was dependent on Haaland converting those chances). In several games we had more opportunities than opponents (even the last match against PSG had us playing in the 18yrd box of PSG more than they did us. The ability to convert the chances was the differential. So yes! There were several tactics at play.
Tactical difficulty; for tactical approach to become so fluid you need consistency of same players in same position. We barely had that luxury thus far.
So yes! Some of us are hopeful with Slot
English

@Jayc_Kop I'm looking for decisions, tactical set-ups, training improvements... anything meaningful and repeatable that suggests he can do better next season. Not circumstances. Because all I can see is evidence that it would stay about the same.
English

@Jayc_Kop Okay, so I don't want to be confrontational, but I really don't see that as answering the question. I think the answer needs to be more specific, because I think we can all agree that the standard of the competition for 5th(!) place is not great.

@Variety If your words and actions can be "weaponised" by being repeated verbatim, maybe the time has come to look inward.
English

Dave Chappelle says he resents how "the Republican Party ran on transgender jokes. I felt like they were doing a weaponized version of what I was doing. That’s not what I was doing."
"I was on Capitol Hill, and everybody ran up to take pictures with me from every congressional office. And I just take pictures with whoever asked... At first, it was CBC people. Then here comes Lauren Boebert and she said, ‘Can I get a picture?’ And I had already taken 40 pictures. I didn’t want to say no in front of everybody, but I didn’t know the phrase ‘I respectfully decline.’ So I just took the picture. And then she posted the picture and says something to the effect of, ‘Just two people that know that it’s just two genders.’ Just instantly, like, weaponized or politicized. So I got to the arena, and I lit her ass up for doing that. And she should never do that to a person like me.” (via NPR's Newsmakers)

@KyleSmi01550660 @theycallmekg2 @VoxProMLS Well, logically, the best thing for them to do would be to attend those parties anyway, uninvited, and be celebrated by any Americans there, right?
English

@theycallmekg2 @VoxProMLS You don't get invited to many parties do you.

The World Cup is supposed to be about experiencing the best the host nations have to provide culture wise. Tailgating is a massive part of US sports culture and is a massive part of the sporting experience in the US. What are we even doing at this point, seriously?
Polymarket Sports@PolymarketSport
🚨JUST IN: FIFA has banned tailgating before World Cup matches at major U.S. stadiums. Tailgates are normally free to attend.
English

@liverpxxl9 @Jack_Moore7 Because we'd overachieved by getting there and we could all see the trajectory we were on, there were a lot of reasons for positivity, despite the disappointment.
What's there to be positive about now?
English

@Jack_Moore7 Lad we had Klopp telling us to party after getting smashed in a CL final.
