Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe believes the United Kingdom has been “colonised by immigrants”. Ratcliffe, who moved to Monaco in 2020, said the UK needs a prime minister who is “prepared to be unpopular … to get the big issues sorted”, comparing that role to his own at United, where he has been “very unpopular” because of the changes made since his arrival in 2024. “You can’t have an economy with nine million people on benefits and huge levels of immigrants coming in,” Ratcliffe, 73, told Sky. “I mean, the UK has been colonised. It’s costing too much money. “The UK has been colonised by immigrants, really, hasn’t it? I mean, the population of the UK was 58 million in 2020, now it’s 70 million. That’s 12 million people.” The UK’s Office for National Statistics estimated that the UK population was 69.5 million in November 2025, compared to 67.1 million in 2020. The ONS also estimated that the UK’s long-term net migration was 204,000 from 2024 to 2025. According to a House of Commons research briefing from January of this year there were 1.68 million people, as of December 2025, claiming unemployment-related benefits in the UK.

@richhudson76 If the selections were holding us back, the results wouldn’t be there. You don’t stumble into European contention by accident — especially not in this league. Credit the manager or at least the evidence. (Opinions etc etc )

A sixth away win for Everton and this time a come from behind victory at Fulham who have one of the best home records in the league. This David Moyes team certainly doesn’t lack know how and character away from home 🔵

Ahead of James Milner equalling Gareth Barry's all-time PL appearance record by coming on as a sub vs Crystal Palace, it is a fine achievement but don't be misled. Barry's 54,434 minutes is some 14,000 ahead of Milner. The equivalent of another 155 games. Or four full seasons.

Dewsbury Hall is a proper Everton player isn't he. Demands nothing less than 100% from himself and his team mates . Future captain.

@LeeFMc83 We don’t see training. The manager does. Results say he’s getting more right than wrong. 🤷‍♂️

It’s another great win, but we can’t keep starting with the wrong XI. We could easily have been 3-0 down at HT and the first half last week was the same. Get Branthwaite and George in on Tuesday as bare minimum and start on the front foot. Europe is there if we want it 🙏🏻
