Ruto and Museveni now owns KPC. The next step is open an oil refinery in Uganda where Ruto is expected to own shares.
You would think Ruto would want Kenya to rehabilitate the Changamwe Refinery or even build a new one, but that is something that will benefit Kenyans and not Ruto, and so he won’t do it.
That is state capture on steroids.
The Ruto administration remains an existential threat to our country that Kenyans must get rid of in 2027.
That is the most patriotic duty we will ever have to do in this generation, save our nation from Ruto’s strangulation.

I remember meeting Patrick while in High school.We had gone for one of those motivational trips to visit galleries as fine arts students.He came to his studio in crocks, had a conversation with us, apologized for his haste,he was catching a flight.He made me rethink humility.#RIP

I mourn the passing of Patrick Mukabi, the artist behind the iconic paintings in all Java House wall paintings. As a newbie journalist, my bery first assignment was to cover the story of how Mukabi memorialised the 1998 bombing of the US embassy in Nairobi. I have followed his work over the years and my best series from his collection was Market Women. Mukabi did a lot of work teaching youngsters to paint. But above all, he immortalised many aspects of Nairobi social life. He is a national treasure. The city of Nairobi owes him a great of gratitude. We need a City Arts Council to recognise such artists Wangui Maina and Dennis Onsarigo.

Yesterday, CS Alfred Mutua told the Delegated Legislation Committee he has no choice but to remove many poor and elderly Kenyans from govt support list.
Reason?
They requested KSh 42B.
Treasury is giving them KSh 29B.
That’s a KSh 13B deficit.
Billions for Capitation have been cut.
Now, social support for the old and vulnerable, too.
But one arm of the government never has billions cut from its budget; in fact, they get more.
