@cjk100 @tesfenews Very sad indeed. Maybe #Swindon could become an epicentre for promoting #FE in the UK? It's both conceivable and achievable. I remember putting this idea to both the previous 2 Principals in the town. Maybe now's the time!! #FE could do a phenomenal job at promoting itself.

@tesfenews Very sad to hear this. The quality and diversity of reporting and commenting has gone from strength to strength in recent years

Devastating news for the FE sector. It was an absolute privilege to serve at @tes FE Editor for almost 5 years. I'm hugely proud of the high-quality coverage the team has produced during that period and since I left, and am deeply saddened that this is coming to an end.

@JustinTomlinson This topic profoundly and adversely affects many disabled people ⬇️. As an older person with (congenital) #CerebralPalsy & an Autistic Spectrum condition living in your own Swindon constituency, it would be great to hear the feedback about how well this is working/has worked.⬇️

@CP_Sport Just had my member's area preview. The new website looks amazing! Love the new logo, branding, layout, spacing & just the sheer volume of great content on the site which is now way more easily navigated than the previous site. Well done @CP_Sport & @WeAreEmbraceLtd #CPTogether

Calls for getting rid of the term 'observation' on the basis that there's too much negative baggage associated with it or it's been 'contaminated' by a managerialist agenda are misguided. Instead, we need to tackle the root cause of this contamination i.e. we need to confront 1/4

@drmattoleary @Slavojiek If the purpose of a formal observation was solely to 'observe', many practitioners might be happier? But what usually occurs is an (often judicial) interrogative investigation which seeks to improve practice. A name which better reflects that nature may be more helpful to all?

So flattering & affirming when your work is acknowledged & used by others but equally frustrating & frankly not on when others pass it off as their own, even use your own words, with zero acknowledgement 😟

@BobHarrisonEdu Good article. Sad that it took a pandemic to emphasise what we were trying to highlight years ago, but still good that the message is getting through.

@RobWebster_ @tes Great article, points well made. The name doesn’t help, if you accept the name assistant, you’ll be treated like an assistant rather the professional in your own right you truly are. Also there needs to be a much greater TA’ voice in the Lit. actively challenging the inequality.

@tes Great article @RobWebster! Excellent points, well made. After being away from Ed for 4 years it’s surprising but not surprising that this is still happening. It’s important to consider the fundamental reasons why support staff are overlooked - or things will NEVER change!!

Once again, the conversation about what we do in schools has overlooked a quarter of the schools' workforce, says Rob Webster tes.com/news/teach-fir…
