There’s a strange ritual in the NFT world. You can show up every day since 2021, build your craft outside the algorithmic circus, paint, think, study, experiment and somehow it still counts for less than a stranger who materializes out of digital fog with three posts and a shiny banner. Collectors adore these apparitions. They arrive “from nowhere,” though perhaps “nowhere” is just a well‑connected Discord server. The cycle is predictable: a burst of enthusiasm, frantic buying, declarations of genius and then the inevitable plot twist. Another plagiarism scandal. Another disappearing act. Another account wiped clean, leaving behind only the echo of buyers grinding their teeth and wondering how they didn’t see it coming. Meanwhile, the artists who actually know what they’re doing, the ones who can mix color without consulting a trend report, who create because creation is the only honest currency they trust, remain conveniently overlooked. Too consistent, perhaps. Too real. Too unscandalous. It’s almost funny, if it weren’t so exhausting. The NFT space claims to love authenticity, but often behaves like a magpie: dazzled by anything that glitters, indifferent to the craft that doesn’t scream for attention. Yet, the irony is simple: the people worth collecting are usually the ones too busy making art to perform their own mythology. They don’t vanish in the night. They don’t plagiarize. They don’t need a scandal to be seen. They just need collectors who can tell the difference…

Had the pleasure of having dinner with the @Claynosaurz team yesterday.
It was a great experience getting to know the team in person. Shoutout to @AndrewAsksHow for arranging the dinner and it was a pleasure meeting both @Cabanimation and @liuwilliam in person.
All I can say here is
1. Andrew has the food palette of a 5 year old
2. Claynosaurz is a serious contender in the IP space
3. Meeting the team I now understand why the community loves them and they continue to be successful.
4. I’m severely underexposed to the ecosystem

fuck. an NFT company that can’t even mint NFTs? not ideal. we are not sorry, but we are prideful - and we take our craft and our story seriously. so we’re rugging HARMONY and taking everything down. the set up: - we kicked off the second leg of our journey in the G*BOY universe with an in-world mint for a medication called HARMONY that would result in winners of the HARMIES art collection on [blockchain] - we built something interesting and unique, and in our testing it felt fun and snappy and unlike anything any of us had ever experienced before in the space, and this was just the first part… - our expectation was for this to draw in our main supporters and grow the people that were exposed to our world, we expected thousands of new people to come in the door and we set up our infrastructure to support this - it ends up we needed to account for 10-20x more tx per second than we had anticipated - this resulted in people waiting FOREVER for their NFTs to arrive, referral codes getting double dipped, and the system backing up on itself until all of the fun interactions we had built became frustrating turds clogging the toilet. everything got stuck in a queue and our beloved devs started having to run everyone's interactions through a script to catch us up. it was brutal. we think @greenie_sr @boris0chuck and @demdev007 aged 25 years in a day. the rug: the HARMONY site will be locked by 5pm ET today. no new mints, no looking at the cool art, no trying to rank up and no participating in the ponzi. it’s all fucking over. until Monday. until the drooling hoard can get the experience that we were hoping they could and we can tell the story the way it deserves to be told. until the real game begins. yesterday was the first part of a two act story. the next part will last longer and things are going to get weird - it’s not a thing we’ve ever seen done before - so we want to make sure shit is smooth as butter. we’ll kick off next week with a new thicker, girthier system that should be able to handle the force of a trillion degenerates. — oh, and for everyone who got fucked yesterday and couldn’t get referrals through at the prices they were hoping for: we are going to drop you free MED-BUX to make things more fair. go touch some grass. monday it all pops off. we love you.

TAAFI is a four-day conference & festival celebrating the Animation industry. It brings together top talent & voices shaping the next generation of visual storytelling across film, TV, and beyond.

Diamond Fleece finally acquired…..
For those who don’t know, this is one of the most important artifacts in the Chimpers ecosystem.
After the Boring Ape Chronicles series, full set holders were airdropped this “mystery” NFT… which later became the origin of the 100 Genesis 1/1 Chimpers, the heroes and villains of the Chimpverse.
Since early 2022, 98 Genesis Chimpers have been revealed.
Only 2 Diamond Fleece remained untouched.
Today, I had the honour of acquiring one from @cryptobrendle. Thank you for the flawless transaction and your kindness.
Seeing what Chimpers has built over the past few years, and how it’s evolved into a next generation lifestyle character brand is something special.
