DAS is by far the best crypto conference I have attended lately. The venue and setup The quality of attendees The networking opportunities All the major companies at one place All the major stakeholders at arms reach New York needs these types of conferences that unites TradFi, DeFi and the entire crypto ecosystem under one roof. Reminds me of the early days of pre-COVID Consensus times (without the lambos) where everything happened in NYC! Well done to the entire @blockworks and @blockworksDAS teams for organizing this conference and having us at one place!

Three Years at Tron DAO Ventures – That's Like a Crypto Lifetime! As I reflect on my journey at @trondao (yes, THREE years – practically a veteran in crypto time!), I'm filled with gratitude for the incredible team that made it possible. To @justinsuntron and Doug Kousa – your mentorship has been invaluable. Who would have thought that joining as an analyst and rising to VC lead in just 7 months, all while navigating life in a war zone in Ukraine, would lead to such an amazing ride? Looking back, I'm proud of what we accomplished: 1) That 40X MOIC return still makes me smile when I think about it 2) Building our investment infrastructure and decision processes from the ground up 3) Creating that crazy network of 900+ web3 professionals (remember when I couldn't get into the best crypto side events because no one knew me?) The cultural bridge-building between our Asian strenght and US founders was a daily adventure. Flying to Hong Kong for 20 hours last minute to track down a founder and win a deal, then immediately taking another 20-hour flight to NYC for a conference is definitely a memory that sticks with me! I'll never forget those confused looks at the private Huobi party when people wondered how a guy from Ukraine managed to work for the largest crypto stablecoin ecosystem. Those conversations opened so many doors. What started as "where do I even find deals?" quickly evolved into managing 12 calls a day and navigating a constant stream of Telegram messages from founders and partners. Transforming those early uncertainties into structured investment workflows that delivered results was quite the journey. Most of all, I'm thankful for the friendships formed across continents. This industry moves at lightspeed, but the relationships are what truly matter. Ethereum Foundation Treasury Update The Ethereum Foundation (@ethereumfndn) has set up a new @safe 3-of-5 multisig wallet. The wallet address is 0x9fC3dc011b461664c835F2527fffb1169b3C213e An op has been initiated to send 50,000 ETH there, but be patient; due to signing delays, this will take a few days to process (etherscan.io/tx/0x6872c97c5…) The EF will use this new wallet to participate in the DeFi ecosystem. We've made a testing tx on @aave. Stay tuned! Also, @safe has proven safe and has a great user experience, and we will transfer more of our funds here over time! #helloworldcomputer

The power of long-term manifestation is real A short story on Drift lore: I visited Tokyo in April 2023 during deep Solana bear when Drift v2 was just getting started. SOL was under $20, we had ~$1m in TVL, market was bleak post-FTX, and everything seemed hopeless. But we remained super optimistic about the future, so I shared this wish in a Shinto shrine: Drift to 1B The number 1B was symbolic to me then because: - It represents our north star for onboarding 1B users into crypto - Hitting 1B in TVL and daily trading volume felt ambitious and crazy out of reach then, that would have meant a 1,000,000x in growth - We were fresh out of the post-LUNA and post-FTX gutters, starting from 0 and it was a great scaling goal on many levels for us to get to Very few people know how insane of a commitment this was, but over the next two years the entire team locked in hard and literally shipped code and talked to users nonstop 24/7 regardless of market sentiment Today Drift is here, and continue to have a LONG road ahead. We'll continue to work every single day and night to achieve our vision It feels surreal now but with clarity, extreme focus, time and vision you can achieve anything. Now we're focusing on pushing DeFi to levels it has never seen before Will be sharing more here about how the next few years and the future of crypto and Drift will look
