@neomar_estudios Hey thanks. Dark mode should be coming in an upcoming version (probably 0.8 or so) since as far as I know devs have been working on it and are actively testing color contrast on different systems. For now we released 0.7.2 today as a version to fix various issues.

Addendum: It seems the macOS image was automagically setup up by our deployment pipeline and is only working for ARM architectures. For those of you with Intel-based macs please wait a little bit while devs make sure images are correctly working for your OS architecture 🙇

@GiroFrankMusic Lastly, please also check the recovery guide for the 1% chance to recover any leftover file from the temp folder, either because there are still assets there or by using file recovery software (at your own discretion) to find the erased drawings. pencil2d.org/doc/project-fi…

@GiroFrankMusic In extreme cases like this, we recommend ppl to save backup copies as PCLX, but have the working copy as PCL file format (File > Save As > PCL (Legacy) so contents won't be saved in the temp folder but on a folder of your choice. Please also download the latest version 2/2

@pencil2d Hola he descargado pencil2d es muy bueno pero una consulta porque no agregaron un sistema de capas ayuda mucho a la hora de hacer la limpieza de la animaciones espero puedan ver este mensaje pero es muy buen programa solo que ese detalle le daría un plus

@neomar_estudios @djaxx @kdenlive @shotcutapp For Linux and MacOS, as far as I understand, currently there's Pencil2D adapts to your desktop themes. For Windows however is a bit complicated. Generally devs are working to implement actual theming support to get a "Dark Mode" by re-coloring the interface. It's a WIP

Been slowly migrating various parts of my production pipeline away from adobe. Currently looking into blender as a serious video editing alternative as well as compositing.

@THANIYEL2020 Letters indicate layers. Here A is main layer. B right arm. C scarf. Numbers tell order e.g A(1) is 1st drawing. If Num is circled it's a Key. If triangled, a breakdown. If plain, an inbetween. On B4/B6 line arcs tell spacing(line visual distance)is even. B5 is 1/4 inbtwn near B6

i am an animator (self taught), yet i still dont know what those letters and numbers mean. can someone explain?

If you'd rather have purchasable solutions due to corporate requirements: For character animation quite frankly @MohoAnimation is the best next thing.

The end of an era for sure. My honest advice is: Invest in open-source tools & workflows for your business. Apps can improve long-term if we all band together and hire programmers to enhance existing alternatives for the greater good. Check @Blender @OpenToonz @FrictionGFX Krita

@Jontanium Thanks for checking out so quickly! These answers will hopefully help devs to pinpoint the issue faster since it could be only a rendering issue and not an actual color replacement / erasure problem. Now we'll have to wait for them to review the thread when they're available👍

@pencil2d 4. This does work. And the file also opens in an older version as well with to problem

actually, @pencil2d a couple of notes for the most recent nightly build. 1. is it at all possible to make it so you can arange the tools in any way that we like? 2. everytime I adjust my camera, the expand fill option reselects itself. is there a way to correct that as well?

@Jontanium 4. Also please save a backup copy. Then try to make it fail and If this happens can you save a new copy of the file (File > Save as) close the app, then reopen the new copy and confirm if the color is completely removed or if it's ok?

@Jontanium Hey thanks. Feedback shared. Testing right now the issue. Can you let me know: 1. Does this happen after you use any other specific tool? 2. Happens if you're at 100% zoom or zoomed out? 3. If this happens, try export the image as a jpg. Is it output w/o color? does it look ok?
