SULFUR has now sold 300,000 copies on Steam during Early Access. A big thank you to everyone who has supported the project along the way - players, streamers, partners and friends. I cannot describe how grateful I am that we get to do this independently for a living.

That’s totally fair. Just to clarify - the update wasn’t about making the game harder, and the update didn’t nerf everything across the board. Most Oils and attachments were actually buffed so that more of the loot you find is useful, instead of a few builds dominating everything. The goal was to increase build variety, not make the game harder. For new players starting now, progression and weapon variety should actually feel less grindy and more interesting.

@perfectrandom_ I was so close to buying your game today, at check out about to click purchase. Then I thought to myself, I better read a few more negative reveiws first. I noticed a huge uptick of negative reviews starting after the most recent update. Every single one said the same thing. You took a game people loved, and nerfed everything across the board to hell and made it even more of a grind fest. That is such a loser low effort way to rebalance difficulty. I hate developers that pull sweeping Helldivers 2 style nerfs. If your game isnt hard enough in your opinion, find a more creative way to increase it other than Enshittifying everything across the board. But hey glad I read the reviews before buying, game is no longer on my wish list.
