Any advice on how to choose a mike 🎤 to record conversations in naturalistic environments? We got funding to study #purehepecha + gesture but I've never had to worry about audio in my research! I have a Canon Legria HF G26 video camera. All suggestions welcome 😀

@ortega_ger Much better sound! The recorder would have better pre-amps, less noisy circuitry, and more control over sound levels. Also, you can have more inputs (for multiple speakers if you need!)

@perj44 Oh this is really good advice! I was thinking of getting only a mike that plugs in to the camera. Can I ask what's the advantage of the audio recorder/interface? Thank :)

Not long ago I went to supper with a group of writers, some of whom I’d never met. Had a good meal, enjoyed the conversation. Next day a good friend tells me one of the folks I’d eaten with was shitting on me. That in a nutshell has been most my experience with other writers.
