this shows just how hard is it to run an App Review team/org. yap as much as you want about Apple, but their manual labor farm is hugely under appreciated. most of our app updates are approved in under 24hrs, and every expedited review we’ve requested has been done in under 60 minutes.

@pertikaer i dont think it went directly to google, whoever has access to this extension probably stole the client key the link in my first tweet comes from the info icon from this extension. i sent all the details in the email to support.

I shared this message with the team this morning:  Did we just get sherlocked? Yesterday, Apple essentially built Raycast into Spotlight. Or at least, that's how it felt watching WWDC where they announced the new macOS Tahoe 26. Taking a step back this morning, I wanted to reflect on it. We've been building for five years now, and it was never a question of if Apple would try to catch up, but when. While I didn't expect it this year, it didn't come as a surprise either. Raycast is for power users that want to get more done with their computers. When Apple introduces millions (billions?) to clipboard history, they're creating our next users. People will run into limitations and want more from a launcher, which is where we step in. The line has moved, but this is a benefit for us. You've probably seen tweets like declaring us dead, but you've also noticed our community's loyalty in the responses. We're seeing the fruits of years of work. Our users didn't just install a tool, they fell in love with it. This is why we focus on brand and why community matters so much. There are also things that we can learn from Apple. The new modern Liquid Glass design with more rounded borders will feel more familiar to users. Default quick keys for system actions make it easier for people to get started. We can take inspiration from these things and build on them. That's what competition does. It pushes us to be better. In many ways, yesterday felt like validation. Apple just told the world that launchers are the future and we've been building that future for five years. While Apple catches up to 2019 Raycast, we're already shipping 2025 Raycast. The best is yet to come.
