I just saw that this absolute pile of trash won Best Picture, lol. I cannot emphasize enough how unbelievably bad this movie is. I mean truly, absurdly bad, even if you set aside all the anti-Trump stuff. Just comically bad.

I don’t usually write movie reviews, but I feel obligated to save others from wasting their time. I got a free ticket to One Battle After Another, so I figured why not. Big mistake. Even free was too expensive. People had compared it to No Country for Old Men, with supposedly strong acting, great cinematography, gripping script, etc. None of that was true. And even if any of it were, it wouldn’t matter, because the entire film is just one long glorification of domestic terrorism, illegal immigration and anti-Trump propaganda. It’s wall-to-wall fake narratives dressed up as cinematic glory. The most depressing part is that it’s getting very high ratings on IMDb, which only confirms that there are still plenty of TDS sufferers out there because that is quite literally the only way anyone could give this movie anything above a zero. They may not be as loud as they used to be now that Trump keeps winning, but they’re still very much out there.

I have been informed by NBC that I won’t be back with FNIA this fall and it has given me time to reflect and also to look ahead.
It’s disappointing news but I want to thank my NBC family for making the last 17 years so special. I’ll have lasting memories of my time there, especially with Rodney Harrison who has become a tremendous friend.
God has always directed me in these moments and while I’m not sure what the next step will be for me—whether it will be in football, in broadcasting, or getting more involved in church and community outreach —I know God has plans for my life and I can’t wait see them unfold. And I am reminded of one of my favorite verses in the Bible-Romans 8:28. “God works all things for His good for those who love the Lord.”

I am so thankful I was raised in the 80s and 90s, when my friends and I would roast the absolute shit out of one anothers differences, skin color, ethnicities, disabilities and any other thing we could find.
