On Sunday afternoon I rang the Heacham FC Chairman and informed him that I would be stepping down from my position as first team manager with immediate effect. It was a tough decision as I had a great bunch of experienced and young players who always listened and gave me everything, they are a credit to the club. I recognise their commitment and loyalty to me, I will follow their progress and no doubt, see them all shine. I couldn't quite turn their endeavour and good performances into the run of wins we needed, so with half the season left a different voice in the dressing room and new ideas may be what's needed for the lads to get the success they deserve. The coaching staff who supported me were top class ,and I appreciate everything they did. Woody, Tom H, Mark, Matty and Jock, you are great guys, it has been a pleasure. A last thank you to the fans, volunteers and supporters club for your support, I wish you every success and will be down to watch a game and have a cuppa at some point in the future.
