I don't get why "in a pickle" is an idiom used to describe when someone is in trouble. To be in a pickle sounds like the perfect place to be, in my opinion.

I've never been fined by ASE, so speed cameras have not been an expense for me. (They're not a tax?)
A new provincial fund is now a tax burden for me and all of us who have not been speeding in community safety zones. This *does* raise the cost for responsible drivers.

explain it to me like i'm stupid but if you don't want a ticket, don't speed? i got 1 speed camera ticket due to carelessness and since then i've become super careful. haven't gotten a ticket since, so the program served its intended purpose. just say you're a bad driver and go.
