I promised myself that I would never get angry or frustrated for the sake of my favorite superstars.
That is why I will share my thoughts from the most objective perspective possible.
I believe this storyline was so successful that, paradoxically, it failed to reach its completion.
Since last summer, these three have captured the attention of wrestling fans solely through their 'dramatic story,' even without any titles on the line.
Asuka, who fell into the role of an unreasonable mentor; IYO, torn between Rhea and her family; and Kairi, suffering between Asuka and IYO—all three performed their roles exceptionally well, making everyone look forward to what would come next.
The company also clearly had 'Asuka vs. IYO' in mind from the start, intentionally avoiding their one-on-one match.
It was obvious from the beginning that this storyline was being built toward WrestleMania.
The popularity of 'RHIYO' and the fan response were even more explosive than expected, making it a huge success.
As is the case with other feuds, it is common to intentionally slow down the pace of a story to build toward a WrestleMania highlight, so I had no complaints about that.
Rhea moved on to the main division, and Asuka, Kairi, and IYO were in a position where they just needed to finish their long-standing narrative.
However, an unexpected problem arose.
The company failed to complete the build-up for the other WrestleMania feuds.
The rest of the card ended up being filled with rushed matches that lacked any real story.
The company tried to fill the gaps somehow, but they failed to capture the fans' interest.
In contrast, the story of Asuka, Kairi, and IYO—despite having no titles and running for 9 long months—was still holding the fans' high expectations.
The company likely saw 'Asuka vs. IYO' not as a major headline, but as just another match on the WrestleMania card.
However, the expectations for this match were actually far higher than for any others, both in terms of storytelling and match quality.
Contrary to the company's expectations, wrestling fans showed little interest in the other matches and were simply waiting for 'Asuka vs. IYO' to be officially confirmed.
In the end, the company simply gave up on including this match in the WrestleMania card.
In my opinion, they felt that this match would overshadow or distract from the rest of the WrestleMania lineup, rather than helping it.
Instead, the company decided to save their match for the Backlash season, right after WrestleMania, when the major storylines usually settle down.
Since this year’s WrestleMania wasn’t a huge success, they chose to use this match as a way to prepare for what comes next.
Whether it’s WrestleMania or Backlash, I know their story and their match will always be incredibly fun and exciting.
It simply breaks my heart to see them sacrificed by the company's decision, losing their chance to stand on a stage as meaningful as WrestleMania—especially when they are injury-free, have incredible storytelling, and are more than capable of putting on a masterpiece.

@pingugrayson yeah. i get why it would be a struggle for kairi to break free from asuka, it makes sense that it is. yeah we all are... we can only wait and see
English

@rhiyoisforever you're right. i really wanted to get iyo' mania match and didn't realize it until you post. kairi won and was not confused like before, if iyo still challenge asuka atp, it doesn't bring anything to either of them(?) idk im confused
English

@pingugrayson after last night's match it seems like iyo is done saving kairi too? shes frustrated with asuka for sure but the way asuka keeps pushing kairi to face iyo lol idk how will iyo be able to fight asuka unless its a sneak attack. thats why i feel like her direction is unclear..
English

@pingugrayson i fear they just cant be bothered w her lol
English

@rhiyoisforever argh i hate this fact im so done w sidekick mentions😭 they don't know what to do w iyo💀
English

@pingugrayson yeah iyo's direction is very unclear. if rhea wins she stays on smackdown, if she loses shes obv going back to raw and iyo is there so does it make sense that they wont be back tgt? sad that iyo's fate seems to be dependent on rhea's (hence sidekick mentions)
English

@pingugrayson Yeah. I hope iyo is able to manage her frustrations well.. it’s been such a mess for her for the past few weeks (kayfabe)
English

@rhiyoisforever it's not abt winning anymore i just want them to be treated well but anw let's suffer together
English

@pingugrayson Now they’re suffering and we are too becos wins don’t last forever.. just hoping they can go through this tgt.

@rhiyoisforever yeah😭 it's not that i dont want to see them but bringing rhiyo back and have no mania plan for iyo feels so wrong...like all those happened on raw and for what🫠
English

@pingugrayson Had Rhea do a wholeass heartfelt thank u speech to iyo in front of thousands and iyo posting that black n white pic thanking Rhea and pledging they’ll be forever. Only to reunite them a month later again and never splitting them lol
English

@rhiyoisforever i guess they realized they can't tell the story w/o rhiyo, so why split them up at first place? but anw it may be over now😔
English

@pingugrayson Maybe it’s intentional on their part to link rhiyo together and make them so inseparable? After all both of their opponents outnumber them lol
English

@rhiyoisforever i love my rhiyo meal but the fact that they can't tell two storylines at the same time properly really hurts, imagine they started it after chamber and pace it😔
English

@pingugrayson It was starting to get a bit valid until they gave jade allies and had Iyo show up for rhea
