@DrJBhattacharya Foreign visitors have few rights and can’t make as much trouble for bullying bureaucrats as U.S citizens. And bullies pick on the weak.
English

@moshuajoody1 @CricketsMatter @elonmusk @micsolana If goal is to remove the illicit market. But the goal should be safe communities, for which legalization has the exact opposite effect. Illicit sales is the Trojan horse here to sell people on a failed policy. Legal widespread open hard drug use destroys the social fabric.
English

@EvaVlaar I have been trying to get this point across since the beginning! Absolutely correct. We need to be logical and consistent in our arguments that this is not just about efficacy, but about morality and more specifically, bodily autonomy.
English

@VogonPoetrySlam @TimRobbins1 Suggesting something is acceptable because it’s the same as something that exists is not logical. The point is it’s unethical for many reasons (that you might or might not agree with). For many people this is a body autonomy issue and t/f of foundational importance (me included).
English

@TimRobbins1 How is this different than any other vaccine mandates for travel to specific countries?
In 2017, I was travelling for work and went to South America and Africa and had to get a total of 5 vaccines before I was allowed to travel and had to carry this with me as proof.

English

@wildflowerluva @CanadianDis US cable news is an amazing narrative creation tool. Its basically 24/7 pablum and as a result the vast majority of Americans have no clue this issue exists and t/f no pressure to change it.
English

It’s almost 2023 & my family & I still can’t travel to the US.
@POTUS declared the pandemic over & the CDC said months ago that unvaccinated were to be treated the same as vaccinated individuals.
Why are not more people demanding an end to this discriminatory policy?
English

@TonyChiaroscuro @PaulMitchell_AB I basically agree with you, the JCCF have showed courage that other lawyers haven’t. But still, if they can’t eke out a win even in the most egregious, grotesque cases like this, I can’t help but wonder if they are simply not considered a credible firm by the bench.
English

@plaidslacks @PaulMitchell_AB Indeed it may be "corny" but until those other lawyers stand up, who is to pursue these cases?
English

"Alberta Court of Appeal Upholds Covid-19 Vaccine Requirement for Transplant Candidates"
Absolute bullshit. Totally unacceptable.

@JohnCunnington5 The Justice system has failed but so have the hundreds perhaps thousands of lawyers who fought against us, concocting depraved justifications for this foul overreach.
English

@DavidHamer_1951 @ReginaWatteel It’s interesting that you don’t have the foggiest clue that in fact it is you who is acting similar to a fascist by attempting to smear legitimate opposition with a pejorative label, which incidentally is a ludicrous misconception of reality. Lots of us have degrees by the way.
English

@ReginaWatteel Oh, and the term one uses is ‘neofascism’, which you appear to have missed.
As Mark Twain is alleged to have said, history doesn’t repeat itself, but it rhymes.
English

So, according to Mr. Murphy, from now on, whenever a band of neofascists rolls up in a Konvoy of eighteen wheelers with all horns blaring, demanding the Prime Minister resign, he or she, whomever they may be, is obliged to invite them in for tea.

@canada2021dgopg @TrueNorthCentre @AndrewLawton At this point that ship has sailed. This type of legislation is more effective for two reasons. It makes it impossible to discriminate and reframes the issue as one of human rights, which forces supposedly “inclusive” organizations to get these segregation policies off the books.
English

@TrueNorthCentre @AndrewLawton They don't need to do anything, just make vx info private as it should always have been.
No more vx clinics in schools, malls, etc.
No more oroof of vx anywhere, including schools, universities, work places.
Push Public Health back into obscurity where they belong.

New Alberta Premier Danielle Smith plans to add vaccination status to the Alberta Human Rights Act which would make it illegal to discriminate based on vaccination.

@canmericanized Dems use the “border crisis” to rile conservatives up about border security. It’s why every comment from Americans about vax mandates is “just walk across the southern border”. With Reps screaming for “border security” there’s no political will to open the northern border either.

Biden contradicted: U.S. extends emergency despite POTUS previously declaring an end to the “pandemic.”

U.S. extends public health emergency for COVID-19

@bruce_y_lee @Forbes Are you Canadian? Do you have any unvaccinated Canadian friends or family? If you don’t, and are not willing to interview some for your “article” you should take a seat or stay in your lane. You know nothing about the issue and this article is grossly one sided.

New Alberta, Canada, Premier Danielle Smith Claims Unvaccinated Are ‘The Most Discriminated Against Group’

@KathleenGanley @JanisIrwin You seem to be struggling with the fact that it’s you that should be apologizing for supporting discrimination.
English

@JanisIrwin She seems to be struggling with the definition of apology.
English

There are words in this statement. But not the words “I’m sorry”.
Danielle Smith@ABDanielleSmith
I wanted to clarify my comments at yesterday's press conference. Here is my full statement:
English

@Kyle_Itzy @Diorfoo @CTVNews Hey, real Canadian here. Danielle Smith is 100% correct in her statement and you can block and gaslight all you want. We will be fighting until vaccine segregation is acknowledged, apologized for and prevented from ever happening again. Basic human rights are non-negotiable.

Unvaccinated are 'the most discriminated group,' Alberta premier says calgary.ctvnews.ca/unvaccinated-a…
English

@kwame_mckenzie @IrfanDhalla What evidence are you talking about? What other group has experienced more discrimination? I think you need to look at the evidence. It’s everywhere. Lost jobs. Lost opportunities. Refused service. Treated like second class citizens. Wake up. Try reading Juliette Ponesse.
English

@IrfanDhalla Thanks Irfan. Interesting that the algorithm did not flag this for offensive content. A strange point of view . Anyone who thinks people who have chosen not to be vaccinated are the most discriminated against group in Canada needs to have a good look at the evidence.
English

Despite the next sentence, this is a deeply offensive thing to hear, perhaps especially to those who have been discriminated against because of their skin colour, religion, gender, accent, sexual orientation or some other similar characteristic.
Courtney Theriault@cspotweet
"They're the most discriminated against group that I've ever witnessed in my lifetime." Danielle Smith says unvaccinated people have suffered greater discrimination than those based on race, gender, sexuality and other. #Yeg #Yyc #ableg
English

@IrfanDhalla Soon, perhaps sooner than you think, the biographies of those you segregated and treated second class will be published. Social history will not be forgotten or wished away because you think you have the moral high ground. You don’t. You have participated in a massive injustice.
English

@peterbojensen @WashupCyclone @cspotweet Huh? Not sure you have the intellect to understand but I’ll say it again. The person perpetrating discrimination bears the burden of proof. In this case that person is you, and you have not met your burden because vaccine segregation is prima facile indecent and immoral.
