Amazing that unvaccinated foreign visitors still cannot enter the US. Since there is no scientific or public health justification, what might the reason be? My primary hypothesis is xenophobia. Any better ideas?

Illicit sales is the Trojan horse here to sell people on a failed policy. Legal widespread open hard drug use destroys the social fabric.

@EvaVlaar I have been trying to get this point across since the beginning! Absolutely correct. We need to be logical and consistent in our arguments that this is not just about efficacy, but about morality and more specifically, bodily autonomy.

We can’t fight vaccine passports only with the argument of utility. Yes, they’re useless, because the 💉 doesn’t protect against transmission. But what if they create one that does? The real argument against 💉passports is a MORAL one. If people don’t understand that, we’re lost.

The point is it’s unethical for many reasons (that you might or might not agree with). For many people this is a body autonomy issue and t/f of foundational importance (me included).

@TimRobbins1 How is this different than any other vaccine mandates for travel to specific countries? In 2017, I was travelling for work and went to South America and Africa and had to get a total of 5 vaccines before I was allowed to travel and had to carry this with me as proof.

Who decided the World Health Organization has the right to mandate what pharmaceutical products will be injected in people’s bodies throughout the world? Under whose authority are they allowed to limit the freedom and rights of those that refuse?

@wildflowerluva @CanadianDis US cable news is an amazing narrative creation tool. Its basically 24/7 pablum and as a result the vast majority of Americans have no clue this issue exists and t/f no pressure to change it.

It’s almost 2023 & my family & I still can’t travel to the US. @POTUS declared the pandemic over & the CDC said months ago that unvaccinated were to be treated the same as vaccinated individuals. Why are not more people demanding an end to this discriminatory policy?

But still, if they can’t eke out a win even in the most egregious, grotesque cases like this, I can’t help but wonder if they are simply not considered a credible firm by the bench.

It makes it impossible to discriminate and reframes the issue as one of human rights, which forces supposedly “inclusive” organizations to get these segregation policies off the books.

@IrfanDhalla Thanks Irfan. Interesting that the algorithm did not flag this for offensive content. A strange point of view . Anyone who thinks people who have chosen not to be vaccinated are the most discriminated against group in Canada needs to have a good look at the evidence.

Despite the next sentence, this is a deeply offensive thing to hear, perhaps especially to those who have been discriminated against because of their skin colour, religion, gender, accent, sexual orientation or some other similar characteristic.

In this case that person is you, and you have not met your burden because vaccine segregation is prima facile indecent and immoral.
