$META: I've been harsh on Zuck in the past for wasting untold sums of $$ on building a foundational model.
But after recent Claude debacles, I've come around to the view that OpenAI/Anthropic/Goog may never share their bleeding edge models with the world.

As a $META shareholder, I fail to understand the bulls here. Yes, Meta's leveraging GenAI to deliver ever-better ads & more value for advertisers. The question is whether Zuck's profligate spending is necessary? Can we deliver the same value with a significantly reduced capex?
