@lmc055 I wish I cared about women’s soccer. I’ve tried! I can’t do any goalie sports (except very very casual nhl during the playoffs). I tried to do the women’s pro hockey but I’m like… I just don’t get it.

@poloshot So this was said kind of tongue in cheek, but also my thinking here is that this game will be competitive whereas Knicks/Sixers hopefully won't be. Also I personally care the least about the NBA probably out of any pro sports league except MLS and WNSL

truth be told: chess is a shitty musical with a great cast. lea michele not being nominated for a Tony for the role of Florence is just one peak of the fiasco that was michael mayer’s direction, which could have delivered a great show but instead got stuck in mediocrity

@arkh4m_ I thought Brody was good but not enough for me to feel strongly. The first ten minutes of that show are so off tonally, but once it gets moving I thought it was gripping and he was quality. I’ll report back when I see Schmig!

@poloshot Yeah you’re probably right. I’m happy to see Adrien Brody not being nominated because he was already being crowned earlier in the month and that would’ve been annoying. It’s a very different kind of performance from Alex than anything I’ve seen him do recently but he’s very good

@arkh4m_ My feelings aside, the reviews were middling at best (and at least two tony voters I know hated it as much as I did!). I did think he was very good but also probably victim to the show underwhelming in general. Can’t speak to schmigadoon yet but do love me some Brightman!

@poloshot Oh yeah 100% I’m sure it might, Jessica Vosk innocent of the crimes of that show though. I was shocked to not see Jon Bernthal from dog day (I know you hated it but it got good reception) and my guy Alex Brightman in schmigadoon.
