So I just recently was notified that after about a dozen years paying my student loans, working in higher ed, and being enrolled in the PSLF program, my (not small) debt has been forgiven. I’m still in shock. But I also want everyone to make sure they are enrolled if they can be.

I’m 33, vaccinated, athletic, overall healthy, and managed to avoid COVID for >2 years, but was hospitalized w/ severe COVID last week in Mexico City. Here are some things I learned 1/

Sitting on the tarmac, nearing the end of a long day of travel. Apparently we are waiting for “catering” from a one-hour flight from DFW to MSY. Like, when did soda and juice constitute catering? Just wondering.

Very close to being finished with a draft of the new book and I'm feeling insecure about it at the moment. I took the plunge and wrote for a public audience. I'm afraid philosophers will ding me for it and think it's boring/dumb.

Consider applying HBCU colleagues. A truly amazing experience.

@marisollebron I know - it is totally designed to discourage and make you give up! Exactly why I’m trying to find a home for this op ed. I found the customer service staff at MyFedLoan to be super helpful. Have you talked to them?

@marisollebron But definitely push on - because I got it to work about a month ago. Full debt erasure. And it wasn’t small. Happy to try to help - also trying to get an op ed out there with some more details about the limited waiver, at least from my experience
