The Economist's troubling journalism on Gaza is not without history. During the British Raj, the Economist was the leading voice that opposed any famine relief since it went against its ideology of laissez faire. Any Raj official who provided relief was sharply attacked. And since the Economist was so closely linked to Britain's elite, this crazy policy recommendation actually succeeded. Even sympathetic Raj officials stopped providing relief. Tens of millions were intentionally starved to death in British India as a result. scroll.in/article/950541…

NOW - Netanyahu: "Jesus Christ has no advantage over Genghis Khan. Because if you are strong enough, ruthless enough, powerful enough, evil will overcome good."

No disrespect to Linus Torvalds, but this guy is the greatest geek alive 🫡 Created UNIX in 1971 when he was 28 years old. Created Go in 2009 when he was 66 years old😲 He also developed the B programming language (which led to C), created UTF-8 encoding (making international text possible online), and designed essential tools like grep that developers still rely on daily. He also helped with the development of Multics (that led to UNIX), Plan 9 from Bell Labs and Inferno operating systems. That's 4 operating systems in total... Most people don't even use these many OS. Pretty impressive resume, right? 🔥 And it's a shame that many people, even the ones in the IT and tech industry, don't know him. Ken Thompson.... Remember the name 🙏

The greatest marketing gimmick: 10,000 steps per day No logic or facts support that it provides any real health benefit 10k steps is good if it's the only thing you can do instead of living a sedentary life, but it isn't making you fit/athletic in any meaningful way

Is doping the biggest of integrity concerns in the countless distance running events in the country? Certainly not, if the number of participants who are sanctioned by race organisers for bib swapping is taken into account. The Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026 has seen 51 disqualifications and the Cognizant New Delhi Marathon 2026 has listed 14 runners for violating the bib rules. Males running with bibs issues to female runners; coaches running with multiple bibs so that their trainees can 'qualify' for prestigious distance events; runners having multiple Aadhar cards with different dates of birth to claim prizes in age-categories.. the issues abound and need urgent attention. circleofsport.com/bib-swapping-o…

Woow.. just wow!!! 2028 WORLD INDOOR ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS IS AWARDED TO BHUBANESWAR!!! It was on the cards but the biggest oxymoronish thing is that we have 0, zero, zilch, anda athlete at the 2026 WORLD INDOORS! WHAT TO SAY @olympic_indian

This is more serious than it looks. Right now, AI-driven tech is the only industry keeping global capitalism afloat. Much of global finance is tied up in it. If it stall, then the entire structure of the global economy could come crashing down. (8/8)
