So instead of reacting emotionally, I made a smarter move. I shifted my focus back to my value. I asked for a salary review—calmly, confidently, and professionally. No comparison. No bitterness. Just results. Because the real question isn’t, “Why are they earning more?” The real question is, “Am I being paid what I truly deserve?” That experience taught me a lesson I’ll never forget: Don’t let comparison push you into emotional decisions. Let it push you into better positioning. Grow. Ask. Negotiate. Elevate. And if they still don’t see your worth? Leave but leave upgraded, not angry. @pre_echo I just decided not to leave like that. Not that the person employed has more experience than me.

@queenify053 You acted like a professional that you are. I was paid the same salary for over 2 years and when I left the person they employed was paid almost double my salary and she wasn't even as experienced as me.

@Dating_Diary2 We often confuse 'no drama' with 'alignment.' He did nothing wrong, but you’ve changed and that’s allowed. You can’t be a grateful partner in a life that feels like a cage. Better to face the truth now than in 10 years when there are kids and a mortgage involved.

@queenify053 That’s a strong lesson. In relationships too, comparison can easily create resentment, but the better move is to communicate your value and expectations clearly. If it’s not aligned, you don’t fight… you reposition or walk away with clarity.

Leave without looking back or try to figure out what the problem was.
