@dotunbello1 lol Nicky 🫡 Neymar played his role and made his impact in lifting the trophy. He definitely was one of the most hyped players of all-time and lived up to it for A time and then settled in — like R10. Still a top 5 Brazilian great and top 5 of this era I’d argue.

@dotunbello1 Champions League winner, leading goal scorer for Brazil.. not bad. The man literally had a spinal injury that that he says he still feels every time he plays. Mentally & physically, that’s debilitating. He made a mark, raised the bar & left some room for what-if’s for sure.

@dotunbello1 Ney played in an era where two football icons controlled the narrative for nearly two decades — getting any look at the D’or was a challenge (& he still should’ve). He played with the ball on a string. At that level, world-class. His issue was injuries. Couldn’t avoid them.
