Let’s be clear: This bill is not about targeting one developer, it’s about ensuring safety review happens before approvals. And some testimony reflects earlier drafts, not the updated language we passed out of committee.

With the legislative session starting next week, it was great to be at the Bethel Chamber Breakfast discussing health insurance, volunteer firefighters, and how CT can attract more business. Thanks to La Zingara for hosting and the delicious breakfast.

Spent time listening to constituents and area residents about what’s top of mind heading into the next legislative session from energy rates and federal funding to education and local issues. Grateful for the thoughtful questions, tough conversations, and community engagement.

Spent time listening to Danbury educators about special ed, funding, overcrowding, and mental health. As our city grows, our schools need to keep up. Taking this back to Hartford.

I voted NO because it moves power away from towns like Bethel and does nothing to stop developers from exploiting loopholes. We need housing, but we need accountable housing policy. Appreciate @CTInvestigator for including my perspective in their coverage.
