I can't believe people are saying with their whole chest that Ash & Brock would fail at taking care of Togepi!!
It's probably been 25 yrs since they say these characters or something, I guess. 😭😭

Rewatching the Togepi hatching episode and Misty is the absolute last person who should have gotten it. She basically stole it. Think about the breakdown: • Ash found the egg during the Aerodactyl attack. • Brock actually took the time to nurture and care for it. • Even Meowth loved and nurtured the egg! • Ash literally won the tournament for the rights to keep it. Misty's only contribution was shoving Ash and Brock out of the way at the exact second it hatched so it would imprint on her. Who do you think really deserved Togepi?

Even though they didn't know about imprinting, it could've been more natural instead of the forcing that did happened. The others were shown to care for Togepi anyway, surely it could've been the same for Misty too. 😔

@shadothecat @predaconspittor @BatVibes He obviously cared about her, though that doesn't mean she did the greatest job. The episode where he evolves and tries to go was about her not coddling him like she always had :') <3 (if I recall well)

@YourSenpai4637 @BatVibes @Bellsprout_Boss you’re missing the entire point, nobody’s opinion matters but togepi’s, togepi chose misty and that’s all that matters and misty did a great job with it, but yes there are issues with the writing giving the only female lead a baby to care for i completely agree
