The best Sonic game released in this 8 year time frame was unambiguously mania but that’s it really.

Keep in mind in the 5 year window after 06, unleashed, colors, and generations all released. In the 5 year gap after rise of lyric released you got sonic forces. Frontiers came out just under 8 years after rise of lyric.

Something I was thinking about a bit recently is how Sonic 06 is seen as a uniquely harmful game for the franchise despite it bouncing back in quality relatively quickly. Like in reality rise of Lyric really did knock the wind out of the franchise much more.

Just so we’re aware, in season 5 or 6 people on this app will probably be on there hands and knees demanding Cecil to execute mark.

@MARIMARI_EN I haven’t watched it yet, but if it’s anything like the first movie, it’s probably okay as a kids movie but I understand why people wouldn’t jive with it. I personally however enjoy having references shoved into my face on the occasion so I will probably enjoy it.

Not to be super mean cause stream as a storefront was super nice, but the way people talk about Gabe you would think their hardware ventured were are all very successful and that the steam deck hasn’t broadly performed at around Wii U numbers (it absolutely has)

@tavrium_ It’s kinda weird cause most stuff with shrinking Rae was show original, but they also seemed committed to having the character exit the show around the same time they did the comic. Idk maybe later on we’ll get a check in episode.

Like I feel like a lot of people get scared that the only reason they like something is cause it’s flashing colors, but tbh that’s fine as long as your capable of understanding that’s why you like it. Not everything you enjoy needs to be a masterpiece or even necessarily good.

I’ve seen a lot of discourse about the Mario galaxy movie and tbh I think a lot of people are a bit too anxious about enjoying slop.
