12 hours or so out from TGE. honestly last few weeks has been brutal - 6am to 12pm nights, constant anxiety about launch, and hundreds of meetings with shareholders. when we started movement two years ago, i never would have imagined this. we were two idiot kids in college with less than $500 in our bank account (picture below is from ethdenver 2 years ago after cooper sold his car to be able to afford engineer salaries). we just really liked move lol. and we wanted to see more people using it. the name movement came from a wish of a democratic and builder-led movement for high-performance infrastructure. we always knew that we wouldn't be the best technologists or the best researchers or the best financiers. we just knew that we knew how to build a community and help builders succeed. today, that's translated into over $45m in private venture funding for movement builders (more than the ecosystem), 60 live apps on testnet, 2100 olympians competing in our recent hackathon, and 52 regional active Movement groups. and mans been a ride. movement grew from two kids in a WW2 basement dorm to a team of 45+ of the baddest mfs ive met in my life. tomorrow im sure will be hectic - prices up and down, airdrop shenanigans, mainnet beta raging. and im sure ill get attacked or applauded depending on how it goes. but regardless, im super proud to have built the movement to where it is today and more importantly that ive led atleast 20 other Rushi and Coopers to launch their own companys, raise, and hopefully be bigger than movement itself. tomorrow is a beautiful day and excited for the world to see MOVE in action. gmove to a new chapter in the Movement story.
