Every time I use BCE/CE instead of BC/AD, people wanna raise eyebrows like I’m disappointin Jesus On top of that numbering system not existing until half a millennium after Jesus’ birth, scholarly consensus puts that birth around 6-4 years “Before Christ” 🥴 BCE/CE is fine, pal

@ErinNewtonTX Ooohh! I like this count. I feel lots better about my reading quantity this way. Although after the semester ended I whipped through two delightful fiction books without having to re-read a single sentence or look up any words, and that was really fun too.

This kitchen renovation of our old farmhouse, flipping the kitchen and dining room spaces, has been in the planning stage for the last 17 years. The dining room has been under construction for 3 months, and apparently we are moving into the new kitchen THIS WEEKEND, and they’ll start demo on the old kitchen next week (or after Christmas). It feels like the slowest week of my life. (Current “old kitchen” space and “new kitchen” space still being finished.)

A reminder that if you preorder my book now, you’ll receive it in spring with free tacos*! *Tacos not included, bc some things are even better than tacos.** **That isn’t true. Nothing is better than tacos. But my book is pretty decent, so you should still maybe preorder it.

@erichoke I find the best of both worlds in experienced nurse practioners, especially when dealing with specialists. They are usually kind, great listeners, excellent health care providers, and they have the added oversight of an expert (who many times isn’t great with people)

I would never go to a doctor over 50. They tend to be too confident and sure of themselves. Give me a man or woman fresh out med school all day. They triple check their work, aren’t jaded by the system, still like taking to patients. That’s my kinda doctor.

It’s awards season for writers, so if you wrote something this year that hasn’t won a big, impressive Book of the Year or Oprah’s Fave or whatever, comment below with your title, cover, and what it’s about so I can give you an award.

Just your yearly reminder that you don't have to suffer through Turkey and stuffing. There is a better way.
