I wrote the lyrics to this song about my doggie whose name is Freddie and how brave he is and then had AI make it into a real song. I play it for him and he loves it. I know I am posting something embarrassing but it’s funny so here it is.

Now instead of Obama, a parent who gives us the freedom to rebel precisely because they care about our legitimate rebellion, we have a …look it’s an attempt to establish fascism in America and globally …that’s not a metaphor. Those are just the stakes. This moment is too real.

I feel bad for young rebels coming of age in the midst of this paradox. When I was in college we got to first elect Obama then protest Obama, knowing that he was like a parent who gave us unconditional love who we could rebel against yet still depend on taking care of us.

We’re in a really weird historical for the Left, which always called for revolutionary change. Or at least “big structural reforms,” as Elizabeth Warren used to say. But a previously unthinkable Right has gained power & defending the old status quo is the Left’s best strategy.

Am I the only one who thinks British accents are just cheesy? Like when you are watching a show, it’s like, I get it — you are a wizard who also solves crimes. But can’t you just speak English like normal people?

@janeyk72 Not a specific show but just like something like Winston Churchill comes back as a ghost and his angel pals tell him he can only get into heaven if he does enough good deeds aided by his best friend a talking dog. Sure. But like, why does the dog also have a British accent?!

@janeyk72 I mean MAYBE I would buy it if it were a period piece about when people used to live in Europe

@janeyk72 I just don’t buy it. I mean nobody speaks Scottish nowadays. It’s just cheesy. Like, everyone I meet speaks regular English in a normal American accent.
