@blornographytwo I think I tried to convey that my experience trying to center depth of mechanics in jrpgs was misguided but ended up sounding like I was frustrated that I couldn't solve it. franken and sunshowers are the two games in my mind that both feel very honest about what jrpg combat is

@blornographytwo rich lore and tightly woven gameplay are never worth anything if you aren't able to make an emotional connection to a game. presentation is something that really matters. I want to see a developer's thoughts on display so I can think about what they mean to me. you understand
