Daily standups are throughput-optimized status updates--get all the status at one time. Actually paying attention during the day is latency-optimized but comes at the cost of paying attention.

No amount of Scrum (or SAFe) training will get you up to speed on actual Agile software development. Neither framework has anything at all to say about actually creating code, and you cannot create a program by having stand-up meetings.

@skirani 13. A 10x engineer doesn't believe in computers, only software. They only eat freshly printed pages of source code from the latest version of the Linux kernel. A 10x engineer is outside your house right now holding a laptop over their head like a boombox.

11. 10x engineers rarely job hunt or move out of the company. They move out because you make their life miserable with the process, meetings, training, and other non-value-added activities. If you come across them, hold on to them. Celebrate them.

10x engineers Founders if you ever come across this rare breed of engineers, grab them. If you have a 10x engineer as part of your first few engineers, you increase the odds of your startup success significantly. OK, here is a tough question. How do you spot a 10x engineer?

Absolutely love this concept: solar.lowtechmagazine.com/about.html What if we thought of our software choices in terms of how much power/energy was needed?

Totally. If you’re writing code, you should care about making it easy to verify that it works properly - not just now, but in the future. I’ve started viewing people who don’t believe this with deep suspicion - what are they up to? What are they trying to hide?
Tim Ottinger@tottinge

“I wouldn’t change the code just to make it easier to test” is a strange statement. “Just”? Testability is a first-order concern. It’s as important as making it run. There’s no “just” there.

I don't believe "Agile" needs the help of any framework to be scaled. I'd say it is quite the opposite: "scaling" needs help from "Agile".
