Zohran Mamdani is being heckled right now at a press conference in Brooklyn, NY, by someone whose words I can't hear, but watch how he's dealing with it.
Mamdani has the unique skill of knowing how to handle and walk into every room and engage with people, no matter how toxic they are or how their feelings are against him. And many times, make them feel heard.
Elected officials, nonprofit and religious leaders, advocates, and activists on both sides of the political spectrum who met with him told me that.
Don't take my word for it, President Trump is pretty public about it.
That's why he's currently the mayor of New York City.
If you don't like his politics or you're like me, who opposed his candidacy and is still troubled by some of his actions and statements, then don't take this post the wrong way; read into it how you should be better to communicate your message.
Yes, putting ego aside for any public figure is not easy.

Sixteen years ago, one man stood alone on a grassy hill at a music festival in Washington State, USA, and started dancing by himself. People glanced over and looked away. Some laughed. His roommate leaned in and warned him people were filming him.
He did not stop.
Then one stranger got up and joined him.
Then another.
Then the hillside tipped. Within minutes, hundreds of people were sprinting from across the field to be part of something that, thirty seconds earlier, had been one man being laughed at in a field.
Someone filming from higher up the hill said quietly: "See what one man can do. One man can change the world."
The clip spread across the internet in 2009. Entrepreneur Derek Sivers played it at a TED conference to explain how movements actually begin. Not with the first person brave enough to start, he argued, but with the first person willing to join them.
Collin Wynter, the man dancing alone, later said he had no idea he had done anything special. He was just tired of watching everyone sit still.

The Bell Centre crowd after Cole Caufield scored the Habs OT winner last night. Nick Suzuki immediately picked up the puck for Caufield’s 40th goal.

Despite all the love the TO sports media has for this guy, he's got no heart. This is one of the reasons this guy disappears at weird moments in the playoffs. Oh well. Don't have to worry about that this year.
