One of the most remarkable achievements of the infamous "Patwa Toli" village in Manipur, Gaya, Bihar where literacy is 98% and it has become a factory for IITians and engineers. If a community is determined to change for the better, no govt can stop you. youtu.be/gLVZdvajvJc?si…

Pakistan’s relevance is real, and it is not accidental or cosmetic . It has leveraged geography, relationships and political positioning to insert itself into the diplomatic core of the crisis. It is neither risk-averse nor invisible. But its influence remains bounded: it can convene, transmit and sustain engagement, not determine outcomes. That distinction matters. We must discern the nuance: Pakistan matters more in this process than many in India admit, but less than Pakistan itself would like to claim. #WestAsia #IranWar #Geopolitics #Pakistan #MiddlePowers #StrategicAutonomy

When God has a plan… From selling bhatura chole at Vivek Public School in 1989, to opening Lawrence Garden Banquet from the back of my house in Amritsar in 1990. In 1991, I chose culinary arts— a decision that embarrassed almost everyone except my grandmother. There were years of humiliation I rarely speak about. Moments that nearly broke me. In 2000, when my banquet was torn down, I almost gave up. Instead, I moved to the United States and started over. Cleaning homes. Selling food on the streets of TriBeCa. Sleeping at Grand Central. Experiencing homelessness at NYC Rescue. Sleepless nights. Being called “Curry Boy” on the 7 train. And still, I kept going. From there… 8 Michelin stars. Then losing myself again. Then starting over—one last time as a promise to my sister—with Bungalow. And now… TIME100 Most Influential People in the World 2026. I’m still trying to process it. The journey continues.

The proposal put forward by Congress and major opposition parties is simple. 1) Implement Women’s Reservation unconditionally without waiting for updated national census or seat delimitation. 2) Expedite the work of national census and ensure accurate representation of major and minor communities especially OBC, SC, ST. 3) Build a national consensus on delimitation so that our nation’s integrity and its federal character is strengthened. The BJP should stop being over smart and mix up all three major issues. Stop trying to bulldoze an unfair delimitation and delay the caste census in the garb of women’s reservation.

Bank nationalisation undoubtedly remains the most important economic decision taken by any Indian government. Not even the 1991 reforms are comparable in their consequences — political, social and, of course, economic. indianexpress.com/article/explai…

This is what Bihar needs. To allow the sale of liquor would bolster State revenues as also prevent illicit liquor. This liquor ban was a silly idea : and am glad that @samrat4bjp is thinking of rescinding the ban @NitinNabin @narendramodi

Biggest surprise from Patna was that there was no surprise. The incumbent CM moved on due to poor health issues and the Deputy CM got elevated. No rabbit came out of the hat.

Visited the petrol pump after more than a month. Eye popping prices of 3.47 S$ a litre in SG. The cost of war is being paid for by us now. #IranWar

Indian media doesn’t want to mind its own business. For whatever it is worth, Pakistan is still in a safe zone - with US and China both on its side. So all this click bait headlines by ‘agencies’ should be taken with a pinch of salt. economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/internati…

With the selection of Samrat as CM, it would be interesting to see the path he chooses to take Bihar on. Will it be continuity or a clean break from Nitish’s politics and a fresh start? first 100 days will set the tone.

The view from New Delhi is unlikely to change anytime soon. But the view of Islamabad and how it has modified its foreign policy statecraft is still worth watching, not out of admiration, but out of the cold recognition that Indian foreign policy's greatest strength, i.e. stability, predictability, alignment, may also be its greatest constraint. And what our neighbor just pulled off is something we, by our own design, may never be able to attempt. History gives an important lesson. Middle powers have often outmaneuvered strong ones precisely because they have fewer constraints, fewer reputational concerns, and a higher tolerance for risk. 🇮🇳 does not need to admire 🇵🇰. It does not need to change its fundamental view of its neighbor. But it does need to develop the intellectual discipline to study Pakistan's strategic behavior without the filter of contempt.

Sir, people in Pakistan are known for their warm hospitality their “mehman nawazī” is truly admirable. They also lead a decent lifestyle. The image we’ve grown up seeing, largely shaped by Bollywood, doesn’t always reflect reality. While we often mock or criticize them, they generally don’t respond in the same way in fact, many interact with Indians quite respectfully. It’s mostly politics and media narratives that have created this divide. As people, we should rise above that and avoid unnecessary mockery! 🙏🏻

In 1963, at just 22yo, Stanley Ann Dunham stood in a place many people judged harshly. She was divorced. She was raising a biracial son in a country where interracial marriage was still new. And she raised him very well. She raised him to become a US President❤️

@AusHCIndia @CricketAus India has now chosen its test centres - Guwahati and Ranchi. Traditional test centres like Delhi/Bombay/Calcutta not getting winter tests for such a marquee series is such a shame. Wondering what powers Guwahati has discovered all of a sudden?

Nobel prize should be offered to the global mediators in the Indian subcontinent - Fauzi General and his PM. They have done a commendable job to promote world peace.
