Fintan O’Toole: 100 years on, Fianna Fáil is flailing irishtimes.com/podcasts/insid… via @IrishTimesPol

Goaltender Carey Price's contract will expire after the Sharks' final game of the season tonight, meaning he will officially retire from the NHL after 15 seasons. As one of the most dominant goaltenders of the 2000s and 2010s, Price gave the Montreal Canadiens elite goaltending for more than a decade, often keeping the team in the playoff race without a true superstar skater in the lineup. In 2014-15, Price was on another level. He won the Hart Trophy, Vezina Trophy, Jennings Trophy, and Ted Lindsay Award after posting 44 wins and a .933 save percentage. Thanks for all the memories, Carey Price. Happy retirement to our idol and one of the best to ever do it, it was a privilege to watch you. 🙏🏼❤️

*and it's good for me personally as well.*

🍊 Leichnitz & Topp: Is the party over for Canada's NDP? Greetings, you curiouser and curiouser Herle Burly-ites. A hard turn to the Left on this episode of the pod, because I want to examine the past, present and future of the New Democratic Party, and ask if the party is over for Canada’s NDP? To do that, a wide-ranging discussion. We’ll cover the federal leadership race. An assessment of the candidates and each of their challenges. What the new leader needs to be thinking about on Day 1. The current state of the NDP federally and provincially – and the differences between those wings. What are the pros and cons of a federated party? And lots more. And with me to do that, two of the most insightful political practitioners on that side of the aisle. You know the names: @JordanLeichnitz … contributor, co-star, and “Chief Camping Officer” at the Curse of Politics. Now’s your chance to buy the dip…Charlie vs Garret is half price in Hodges Figgis.

Just want a couple of wet days 😁🎅

I saw (at the ballpark—of course for the whole game) one of his no-hitters and two of his 1-hitters. Very likely I saw some of the 2- and 3-hitters as well. He was an amazing pitcher to watch. (I also remember watching two of his other no-hitters on TV and hearing one on radio.)
