It is beyond EMBARRASSING that “Republicans” continue to block the SAVE America Act.   @SenThomTillis, @LisaMurkowski, @SenMcConnell, and @SenatorCollins have not only betrayed their constituents — they are ACCOMPLICES in Democrats’ “Illegals First” agenda.   The people of North Carolina, Alaska, Kentucky, and Maine deserve better.
Eric Daugherty@EricLDaugh

🚨 BREAKING: The US Senate has just REJECTED the SAVE America Act as part of budget reconciliation, 48-50 — would've required voter ID and proof of citizenship nationwide REPUBLICAN NAYs: Thom Tillis, Lisa Murkowski, Mitch McConnell and Susan Collins UNBELIEVABLE!! It needed 60 votes. Why can't the Senate pass what over 80% of Americans want?!

Democrats’ reckless blockade of border security and law enforcement is finally behind us. If there’s a lesson to take from their months of madness, it’s the importance of regular-order, full-year funding bills. And that’s where I’ll continue to put my full attention.

@Amy787 If there are minimum shares available, why not prioritize the accounts that have been there the longest and have the highest balances? Makes sense to take care of your best customers

SCHWAB IS THE WORST POSSIBLE BROKERAGE See what stands out in the chart below? Schwab is NOT honoring the Spirit of the SpaceX IPO and its 30% retail allocation. While others companies have no minimum balance (E*trade & Robinhood) or $2000 (Fidelity) - Schwab has 50,000x that - a minimum $100,000 in an individual trading account with them. Money in other banks - even other types of Schwab accounts? Schwab ignores it! Schwab is trying to block out retail when the ENTIRE REASON they got a SpaceX IPO allocation at all was FOR RETAIL INVESTORS. E*TRADE is giving priority to long term Tesla investors. Schwab is not. I have continuously held Tesla in a Schwab account since 2010. But that doesn’t matter to Schwab, because Schwab doesn’t care what SpaceX wants, Schwab is giving access to the SpaceX given to just a select few of their wealthiest clients… Schwab you need to do a search of how many Tesla investors you are shutting out from the SpaceX IPO. It will be a costly decision. Tesla investors are organized. Investors in Elon Musk: Consider this when you decide which brokerage to use. Schwab is the worst possible choice. I will be moving my money in the very near future. @spacex @elonmusk

Good news for long-term $TSLA investors who want @SpaceX IPO shares: E*TRADE says it has established a supplemental IPO share allocation process for Tesla shareholders who have held $TSLA shares in their account for at least 10 years and elect to participate in the IPO. E*Trade: "Clients who meet this profile and are otherwise eligible to participate in the IPO in accordance with Firm and regulatory requirements and submit a COB will be eligible to receive allocations through this process, in addition to any allocations they may receive as part of the general allocation process based on overall demand and the number of shares available to the Firm. If you elect to participate, please submit a COB through the usual process. Please note that submitting a COB does not guarantee an allocation, and any allocation may be less than the amount requested or may not be received. This is not a solicitation or recommendation to participate in the IPO or otherwise." E*Trade is emailing this message directly to long-term $TSLA shareholders right now.

And so it begins. Sofi users can now submit their indication of interest for @SpaceX IPO shares. Sofi is one of a handful of brokerages listed in SpaceX’s S-1 filing to allocate IPO shares to retail investors.

With Rivian R2 on the horizon, but also the VAST amount of EV SUVs currently available, what do you say is most important to your buying decision? I wish polls let you pick more than 4 options… so reply “software” instead of one of these options as the 5th. 😆

Psychologists once sent students into a crowded room wearing a Barry Manilow t-shirt, then asked how many people noticed. The students guessed half. The actual number was a quarter. That same gap is why a dumb thing you said in 2014 can still make you wince. You lived the whole thing from the inside, up close and in full color. Everyone else caught a blurry half-second and went straight back to thinking about themselves. They forgot by lunch. You kept the only copy, and you have been hitting play for a decade. And the play button hurts for a reason I did not expect. A scientist at UCLA put people in a brain scanner and quietly cut them out of a simple ball-tossing game. The same patch of brain that fires when you burn your hand fired when they got left out. The more shut out a person felt, the brighter it glowed. Your head files a social snub and a physical injury in nearly the same drawer. For most of human history, getting pushed out of the group could get you killed, so the alarm still screams over things no one else even remembers. That does not shut it up. But it helps: the cringe loses its sting once you see the alarm as ancient wiring doing its job. The replaying is where the harm lives. A psychologist named Susan Nolen-Hoeksema spent decades studying this exact loop, the way we gnaw on a bad moment over and over. She tracked more than 1,100 adults for a year. The heavy gnawers were far likelier to be clinically depressed a year later. The loop also keeps your blood pressure up the whole time it runs. We do it constantly. A Harvard team used a phone app to ping people at random and log what they were thinking about. We spend almost half our waking lives somewhere other than the present moment. Most of that drifting drags our mood down. And the order matters: the drifting shows up first, then the low mood follows. The fix sounds too stupid to work. Ethan Kross, a researcher at the University of Michigan, found that if you watch the memory from the outside, like it is happening to some other person on the far side of the room, the sting fades. Same memory. You just move the camera. In the scanner, that small shift calms the body's stress response and quiets the part of your brain that fixates on you. Even swapping one word helps. Narrate the moment using your own name instead of "I," the way a friend would. Said in the third person, the same scene stings less. It feels silly. It works anyway. In everyone else's memory, you are a background extra who barely had a line. You are the only one still parked in the editing room, watching the same three seconds on a loop.

FSD 14.3.3 is not off to a good start the 3/3 places we went to (curbside, parking lot, parking garage) kept circling for 5+ minutes past good spots until I had to take over and manually park I wish while in FSD I could tap to park, would probably help the training data too

@MaryBowdenMD @US_FDA Great idea! Last month I found two embedded ticks on me, and of course it was a Saturday. Had to wait for the on-call doc to call back, do a tele-appt, then wait for a script to be filled.

A single dose of doxycycline can decrease the risk of contracting Lyme disease after a tick bite from 3% to 1%. Allergic reactions to doxycycline are extremely rare - the lowest of all antibiotics. @US_FDA should make single-dose doxycycline available to the public without a prescription.

I just spent 5 days driving across Canada with @DavidMoss and @scotsrule08 in a Tesla Model 3 and now I’m flying back home. I’m more uncomfortable sitting on this plane (in an exit row) than I was at any point during our 6,000km drive. FSD has gotten so good it handles all the driving for you - and the ride experience in a Tesla is so comfortable… I’ll have a hard time choosing to fly for any of my shorter trips from now on. Tesla FSD (Supervised) really does change how I travel.
