In 2028, AK would ditch switch, either with current permanent Standard Time zones in west and new permanent PST in east (if DOT approved), or with current pST zones statewide (if DOT refused).

Alaska committee merges permanent Daylight Saving Time and permanent Standard Time bills. 🤔 New bill seeks pDST in eastern AK only, pending Department of Transportation approval. Ditches switch in 2028, either with new TZ boundary if approved, or current pST if denied.

Rushing to Downtown Oakland, a Key System streetcar races a bus down San Pablo Ave. in Emeryville — Nov. 13, 1948. Originally, this route was supposed to be modernized. A loop was even built at Ashby Ave. for new PCCs! But, the pro-bus National City Lines killed that plan.

☁️ 89 years after it was built, this Key System "Bridge Unit" still runs like a charm. Built in 1937, #187 was one of over eighty "Bridge Units" specially designed for train service over the Bay Bridge! Long after being retired in 1958, we continue to run #187 and #182!
