Wayne Brown is killing Luxon's chances of becoming Prime Minister because he's up there showing everyone exactly how wrong the CEO-style is for Government.
Labours new Minister of Auckland Michael Wood:
🔴 Wasted $51m on the Akld Harbour cycle bridge that got cancelled.
🔴 Has spent over $70m on Akld Light Rail which has gone nowhere.
🔴 Wants to reduce speed limits on all suburban streets to 30kph.
@SteveHWrathall@David_Cormack So are you saying Māori should actually get 2 electorate votes as they have "skin in the game" in both the General and Māori Electorates in which they live?
given luxon's "1 person 1 vote" thingo, has he made it clear whether folks who own multiple properties in different regions should be allowed to vote in multiple local elections?
also does he know that if you vote in a Māori electorate, you can't vote in the general one too?
@phillippaonline@traceyrcooper@David_Cormack@SteveHWrathall Pip, I believe you are misunderstanding because you are assuming you are speaking to a pākeha. He gets only 1 local body vote despite having property interests in more than one district (as Māori owned land gets excluded from this privilege) unlike other owners of multiple lands
@roo_tea@Meatwad650@toastfloats NZ has had QR codes for ages and it is mandatory for every business to have them and
people do use them. Their use has always been stressed it just hasn't been legally mandated that you must scan them.
@Meatwad650@toastfloats Exactly. Look at Australia and then see which states did the best (Qld for example) and which have had QR codes for months, and masks mandatory at the first sign of a case 🤔
I've been doing QR codes for ages and it's not "fatiguing"
New Zealand's containment strategy is actually effective as hell. A lot of Americans are being petulant and saying it's ridiculous for us to lock down after one case was detected, but we did and today we found 4 cases. Tomorrow likely more.
@nonplasticmaori@Mihi_Forbes Beginning to dread what my experience might be when I go to vote, rly hope whānau aren't being put off attempting to vote over this debacle.
