One rule change the NBA should make this upcoming season is to change the Flagrant Foul system to where it doesn’t negatively impact the teams who make the Finals, especially if the they are going to call all incidental contact above neck flagrant fouls and if shooters are going to continue to hunt landing on the feet of the defender contesting. One way to do that is allow 4 Flagrant points for every two series. 4 points for 1st round + Conference Semi Final. Once you make Conference Finals the points are cleared and you are allowed another 4 Flagrant points.

Any Spurs fan that watched every game and knows ball can back this up: The playoffs changed Wemby. During the regular season, you never heard a peep about "dirty player" or flagrants because all of the arm hooking, jersey yanking, and thigh grabbing was a foul in the regular season. If players get called for a foul, theyre less encouraged to play that way. When the refs don't discourage rough play, a player will try to discourage it. I think the refs and the league backed themselves into a corner by allowing too much roughness. If you suspend wemby then you get lots of calls and complaints from the spurs front office saying "here are all of the uncalled fouls that led up to the flagrant." Was it a flagrant when Wemby pushed Brunson by the neck? ABSOLUTELY lol Would he have pushed him if Brunson wasn't pulling his jersey? No. But the most important question is, would Brunson have been pulling his jersey at all if the refs were consistently and correctly calling it a foul? Probably not. I said this in a bitter moment. The Knicks deserved it. If they played the Spurs in a series 100 times they’d beat them 99 times. Brunson is so far superior to everybody else on the court it’s not even funny. They were best team in league. I hate every second of it but they are worthy champs. It takes a true champion to admit that and I’m a true champion. Credit to me.
